Manga 'Gal to Kyouryuu' Gets TV Anime, Live-Action in April 2020

Kodansha opened an official website for a television anime and a live-action adaptation of Moriko Mori and Cota Tomimura's Gal to Kyouryuu (The Gal and the Dinosaur) manga on Monday. Both adaptations are scheduled for an April 2020 premiere.

Synopsis
One day, Kaede, a gyaru, picks up a dinosaur and begins living with it. The short comedy depicts their daily lives together as the dinosaur consumes human food, watches TV, and enjoys fashionable things. Thus begins the story of a gal and a dinosaur cohabiting that transcends time.

Gal to Kyouryuu initially ran on the Days Neo web manga site in April 2018. Two months after its launch, Kodansha decided to serialize the slice of life comedy manga in Weekly Young Magazine, where it formally began last October. The first compiled volume went on sale on April 5, with the second volume shipping on Friday.

We discussed the author's past work, which was dedicated to auto-biographical stories from the life of LGBTQ folks. I read a couple of chapters from this work and I can only say that MC's ex-boyfriend and female friend appear there. I don’t know about the rest.

Whoa, can't say I expected that. It's easily one of my favorite ongoing manga right now though, so I'm hyped.

Edit: I completely missed that there's going to be a live action version too. I can't even imagine how that will work...

Really surprised by this announcement considering that it just came in october of last year. But hey, that's nice, even more when scans stopped on ch 13 and the anime will surpass it easily in the first episodes. With that said, it probably will be 5min or 10min or at least I hope since it's the best format for the series.
