The Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 3rd Anniversary The Reflection event on Sunday has announced that the series will get a spin-off. Titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans - Urðr Hunt, the spin-off will be available on the series' smartphone application, which combines game and anime content. The spin-off takes place between the first and second seasons. Some staff members from the TV series will return for the project. More information, including the release date, will be announced at a later date.

Synopsis
Year P.D. 323. Gjallarhorn's political intervention into the Arbrau central parliament escalated into an armed conflict using mobile suits. The incident was brought to an end by Tekkadan, a group of boys who came from Mars.

News of Tekkadan's exploits has also reached the ears of Wistario Afam, a youth born and raised at the Radonitsa Colony near Venus. Venus, which lost to Mars in the contest for development, is a remote frontier planet in which the four great economic blocs show little interest. It is now used only as a penal colony for criminals, whose inhabitants don't even have IDs.

Then Wistario, who hopes to change the status quo of this homeland, encounters a girl who claims to be the guide to the Urdr-Hunt. (Source: Gundam Global Portal)

More iron blooded orphans is alright with me just wishing it would be an actual tv series or even an ova would be great

Same as you, more would definitly be great.

Personally, i'd rather have an alternate ending Movie or OVA of season 2, where Mikazuki survived the final battle and lived happily with both Kudelia and Atra.

Even a prequel would've made more sense than a spin-off with a Mikazuki look-alike.

I understand, but IMO it wouldnt have had this much impact otherwise, besides Mika surviving without Orga...

That kid looks like a combination of Mikazuki and Atra.

Anyways, why can’t we have a prequel instead?

A mobile game with animated cutscenes and voice acting? Given how surprisingly good Granblue Fantasy (the gacha game, not the anime) is, I might check it out (assuming it has an English translation, ofcourse).

I think this is the first time a shota has piloted an actual Gundam in battle in the series. Wistario looks... what, ten years old?
kio (age gen 3) and uso irwin (victory) were both like 13 and looked about the same as wistario

Saw the tweet earlier, and all the comments under was just "anime ja nai" lol. Also this Wistario kid reminds me a bit of Akatsuki. I hope for a real IBO series and not some game...disappointed just like most of the twitter comments :(

Definitely a pleasant surprise to get more of this timeline, i do hope the content it gets is actually something worth standing on its own and isnt just some cheap "go buy our game" adverts
