Light Novel 'Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta…' Gets Anime Adaptation
Synopsis
After hitting her head particularly hard one day, Duke Claes' daughter, Katarina, suddenly recalls all the memories of her past life: that of a teenage Japanese girl. Just before her untimely death, this girl recalls playing an otome game... that is exactly like the world she's living in now!
She is now Katarina Claes, the antagonist of the otome game, who nastily hounded the protagonist until the end. Knowing all the possible outcomes of the game, she realizes that every single possible route ends with Katarina being murdered or exiled! In order to avoid these Catastrophic Bad Ends, she has to use her knowledge of the game and her own wiles, starting with breaking off this engagement with the prince...
Will Katarina survive while making her way through this world, where bad flags trip at every turn? Find out in this reverse-harem rom-com, led by everybody's favorite villainess! (Source: J-Novel Club)
Yamaguchi launched the novel series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in July 2014. Ichijinsha began publishing the novel with illustrations by Nami Hidaka in August 2015. The seventh volume will go on sale on October 20.
A manga adaptation, also featuring artworks by Hidaka, has been serialized in Comic ZERO-SUM since August 2017. Ichijinsha published the first volume on March 24, with the second volume planned for an October 25 release. The light novel and manga volumes combined have a cumulative 600,000 copies in print.
J-Novel Club licensed the series in August and plans to publish the first volume in early December. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga adaptation last month and will release the first volume on July 30, 2019.

FINALLY!!
I HAVE BEEN A FAN OF THIS NOVEL FOR GOD KNOWS HOW LONG NOW!!! I THOUGHT THIS NOVEL GOT AN ANIME WILL ONLY BE A DREAM IN A DREAM!!! GOSH NOW I HAVE TO FULFILL MY PROMISE ABOUT GETTING THE BD!!!
P.S. for those who are worried about the Otome Game setting, just remember that this one isn't the heroine of that Otome game, it's the Villainess one. So the whole story is pretty much a parody about a Duke's daughter climbing trees and Making snake toys. She's not the "special one" like the usual Otome heroine. If you're still not convinced, you can always read the manga since it's a lot shorter than the novel, but it skips so many things tho..

An isekai reverse harem? Fucking FINALLY! I'm getting tired of all this isekai harem shit. It's a nice change of pace to finally watch an isekai but instead of a dumbass male protagonist, it's a female protagonist.
Well, she's also a dense dumbass, but a fun one, who climb on trees, works in a personal field and make paper snakes.

I guess the vast majority of fictional works with romances being about hetero couples makes the LGBTQABCDEFG people feel kind of starved for relatability, and slash/femslash things a little too strongly, forgetting is just personal fanfiction (in most cases, ar least; DR3 trolled me with Juzo being actual closet gay).
I mean, there must be some people who watched Nanoha and conceived Yuno as a nice potential worthy romantic partner for Nanoha, yet nobody is suggesting their personal fanfics are canon...as far as I know. Cuz Nanoha-Fate-Vivio are clearly a lesbian family, by season 3. All canon and I am full okay with that...
Well, I understand that and I can easily understand yuri shipping in a show like Madoka or Nanoha. Even if we are talking about slash fanfiction around sports shounen serias. But lately, it’s all so obsessive and so roughly ignoring any possible context and motives in the interaction between the characters, that I’m already starting to be frightened.

@Fabris Yeah, thanks for reminding me. I am still afraid to discuss some shows, even definitely heterosexual, due to the fact that tumblr-girls begin to treat any tension between heroines as sexual tension.
It is also strange, as if I read yaoi and yuri manga solely for the sake of hope to see there any opportunity for heterosexual ships.

Just another sexist otome trash getting a adaption
Just another otome trash getting adaption huh.
>bitching about things you don't know

It's a parody of Otome Games, and it's not even exactly a shoujo, it feels more like a slice of life isekai comedy.
Emphasys on the Comedy tag, as the magical setting is kind of just "there", to add spice to the fun.
It's nothing MASTERPIECE levels of writting, is just some casual fun.
@Swagernator Well, you can look at how the original LN is advertised and what tags it always had. But for some reason, people too serious perceived yuri gags in the plot, which is why in the west this parody reverse harem has more yuri fans among its audience than girls.
Likely because of chapter 9, where Bakarina tries to be overly nice to the heroine to avoid being hated by her, and is treated nicely back since she is, well, a nice girl paying goodness with goodness.
Also, tumblr. If 2 girls of similar age are friendly with each other, and talk about things beyond pretty boys, must be lesbiaaaaaaansss...

@RobertBobert as i read the comments here, i'm starting more and more see what you were saying.
I hope this was not an ironic comment about my bad grammar, lol.
No im very well aware of people projecting their sexual preferences into medium, so what you said is absolutely true.
