Manga 'Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni' Gets Live-Action TV Drama

This year's 7th issue of Manga Action magazine has announced that Fumiyo Kouno's Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni manga series will get a live-action TV drama slated for this summer. More information will be revealed in the magazine and various places at a later time.

Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni is a manga drawn by Fumiyo Kouno and was serialized in Manga Action magazine between January 2006 to January 2009 for total of three compiled volumes. The manga has received an anime movie adaptation which premiered in Japanese theaters on November 12, 2016. The movie has received multiple awards, including the Excellence Film award in the 71st Mainichi Film Award, 40th Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year, Judge award for The Annecy International Animated Film, among others. The Blu-ray and DVD of the anime movie were released on September 15, 2017 in Japan and topped the rankings in its first week. The anime movie also premiered in the US in August of this year.
