Commemorating the fourth anniversary since its launch, the official website of Happy Elements' Merc Storia: Yujutsushi to Suzu no Shirabe smartphone game opened a special page on Wednesday, announcing an anime adaptation. Details regarding the anime will be revealed at a later date.

Merc Storia takes places in a world where humans and monsters coexist. The protagonist, Yuu, is a healer apprentice and possesses the ability to tame monsters. In a quest to regain the memories of Merc, a girl confined in a bottle, the pair embarks on a journey.

The Japanese role-playing strategy game developed by Happy Elements for iOS and Android platforms was launched in 2014. The game was initially released in English as well, but the version was discontinued in December 2015 after having multiple reported bugs.

A strategy guide of the game was published by Gakken Marketing in August 2014. Kadokawa has released two visual books in February 2015 and March 2016.

I think so many people are biased on this anime adapation just because it is a smartphone game .
I am one of the players of this game, I think this game is pretty good especially in story and charaters department especailly event stories though there are some event stories that doesn't match my taste
Fot the game, though the probabilty of gettng a star 5 character is very low, you can use characters with rarity 3 and 4 as well and you can use the characters forever for the events unlike most gacha games which the characters will be eventually completely unusable . But if you are the one of those people who easily gets jealous of other people who can get more items by PvP , then this game is not suitable for you
I think the main problem with the game is it is hard to understan for beginnersl. It is quite complicated for a mobile game .
For the anime, I hope they adapt the country events for the anime since I don't think the anime could cover the main story . I know that many game anime adaptation fails so I hope this one won't dissapoint

Well at least for a gacha the art looks uniquely cute and the premise isn't absolutely reprehensible.

More money pit devs desperate for suckers. Come on, if you're that desperate for cash, maybe you should develop games for the Switch at the very least.
