New 'Houshin Engi' TV Anime Announces Staff and Additional Cast Members

The official website for the new anime adaptation of Houshin Engi has revamped and announced staff and additional cast members. Titled Hakyuu: Houshin Engi, the upcoming TV series will premiere on January 12, 2018 and is scheduled to broadcast on Fridays at 10:00 p.m. via Tokyo MX, followed by Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS11.

Is that something you fear or was it annouced. Because it may be like Ushio to tora, that was annoued as a 2 cour, and got 1 more for season 2, because it worked pretty well. I'm surprise they took the Wen Zhong/Taigong Wang fight for the teaser (I'm sorry, but I don't know the name in japanese, in my country they used the chinese names in the manga). But yeah, from promotionnal to teaser, it looks like that will only cover until Wen Zhong's fall.

Also, guys, the design is very close to the manga one.

C-Station is rather new so I think having this with Yuru Camp is actually neat but worrying (edited since I looked its slated for Winter)

Staff looks pretty decent although I have a bit of a skeptical feeling towards the PV. Buuuut I'll give it a chance, since it caught my interest.

So far, I'm loving this new cast, specially KENN for Kou Tenka <3
I will miss badly Akira Ishida for Shinkouyou...
And Yozen will sound more... masculine/mature? Maybe?
Strange change for Shinjin... but I support Nobunaga Shimazaki :)

I thought the same thing, I hope they will cover everything and without rushing it too much..

To be fair, he has lost certain of his voices. Just compare him as Chô Hakkai in the 2000s and now.

Well ,he is older so his voice should change a little but he's still good, like Zura in Gintama. He also voice the first seat in Shokugeki no Soma. Both of them are popular anime.

I've planned to watch it when the news first came out but after seeing the teaser i'm not so sure : the visual is too horrible. I don't know the old version nor the manga but my first impression isn't really good so i will let it go.
