Just barely lower than the previous volume 1st week sale. It'll be lucky if it reaches the same number vol17 reached before falling off. Either way, RIP in peace. Kamisato was still a mistake.
Until the final showdown came up or arc like NT9 begins it'll keep dropping and last 2 volume is kinda flat, the Kamisato arc felt like hit and miss.
I felt like there will be Spin off about Kamiasato Kakeru in the future...
I am not sure why people still asking Index 3 yet while its actually been hinted by the author himself few month ago.
Well ofc you cant really compare why the sales on the first week is really high compared other tittle or previous volumes.
Judging from other perspective, Index is like 13 years old light novel if both series (old and NT) counted,
There havent been any anime boost for years.
At this point i am not sure what i am expecting in To aru series, Heavy object seems nice though (but that Object thing is seriously laughable lmao)

Didn't Re:Zero have its print volumes come out quickly because they were taken from its web release, not because the author writes fast?
Both.
In fact for the content that has been released in the light novel version so far, the web novel actually came out faster. That said, this is largely due to the every 6 month release schedule around 2015/early 2016 (which in turn enabled the rapid releases at the end of last year), and the web novel slowed pretty much to a halt during the same time.
The light novels won't catch up with the web novel any time soon for this one.

Depends what measure you're using. If you're talking series sales, that is heavily dependent on the number of volumes that come out in the year. This is the first KonoSuba volume this year, although basically all its competition has either 1 or 0. Can't see Re:Zero beating KonoSuba unless it has more volumes out.
If you're talking volume sales, it won't beat Mahouka, and probably not Musubimonogatari either. Plus there's this year's sales of Kimi no Na wa. that it won't beat either. Plus various other big sellers (No Game No Life, Overlord, DanMachi, SAO: Progressive) haven't had a volume out yet this year. On the other hand, Re:Zero won't beat it here either.
On the other hand, I think you are underestimating how well comedies do. There are a lot of comedies in the top selling series, and there are several that have higher peak reported sales than KonoSuba does.
Im talking about series sales. Faster writing is a talent, I cant denied that. Re:0 release 4 books per years. I wish Natsume can write like re:0 author, but at least Konosuba have more than one per year. And overall, I still think comedy have weaker sales than action LN. Some comedy sales really well, sure, but the number of serious LN doing good is alot higher than that

*5. 14,024 *14,024 Ookami to Koushinryou Vol.19
It's the epilogues of the main series. Spring Log II.
It's the second Spring Log volume, so yes it is the 19th volume of the series and not part of the Ookami to Youhishi spinoff.
Ooo, I see. Thank you both :)

Konosuba is selling well. Just Re:zero and SAO could beat it this year, probably. Consider this is a comedy LN, thats not bad at all

Wow... I didn't expect that this kind of light novel is actually pretty popular.. Lol XD

Read this really makes me want to kill myself. Index III never.
Well, the editor literally said "just wait a bit longer for Index 3" in March.
Huh? TIL. This isn't a simple mistake with the spin off LN is it? I wasn't aware of an upcoming 19th volume at all..

It seems very strange to me, because it always seemed to me that Index is one of the most popular LN in general. Or are the readers just tired of it?
Allow me to explain how Dengeki killed Index's sales. Back in 2014 they hyped up the 10th anniversary event of Index, and kept hinting a big announcement. This was a year after Railgun S aired, so go figure what the fans expected. Index 3, obviously. They even got Mami Kawada and the voice actors there for the event and made a big countdown, and even released a PV with characters who had not been animated yet.
And then they bait and switched and announced Heavy Object instead. The sales have been free falling since then with Japanese fans on places like 2ch saying they won't buy the LNs again until Dengeki fixes their mistake, apologizes and announces Index 3. It doesn't help that Index also went into an arc that can essentially be considered downtime and just set up this new arc that's starting for almost 3 years. Who really knows if they'll actually do it, or if it will even help by now.

BTW is the cover shot from index? Looks really horror-ish!

Oh, thanks for the information. It's more complicated than I thought originally. It's strange that Dengeki is usually pulled with new seasons, although the adaptations of other publishers are usually much quicker get sequel, such as "Date or Live" or Masou Gakuen.

I was pleasantly surprised too, I wonder how many volumes he will withstand in the end. If Mao-sama already received 17 volumes.
