I really want to see some actual numbers for Kemono Friends, but sadly it's pretty much impossible to track due to its release format. The 120k+ from Kadokawa are probably the only thing we'll be getting in a while. Maybe more info comes when it will get restocked in late May.
Those numbers seem to be far too much apart. It has been and still is monopolizing the to positions on Amazon for 3 months now, so I guess its heavily understocked just like GaruPan was. The OP single also had less than 1k initial printings and now has more than 22k. Guess we'll have to see how long its tail is.

A little surprised that ACCA is doing so well, but not angry the least.

Yaoi-bait bullshit on the first place, my god....
"yaoi bait" is also the #1 selling anime from 2016.
At least someone's buying anime. If you're mad, take it up with Japanese men.

all these boys anime come with event tickets so what?
Monogatari did its record sales without event tickets. People bought it just for the anime. Lets not pretend that the entire sales industry didnt change
You ignored a lot of what I said, but OK. Have you seen an anime with sales like Monogatari since Monogatari or Madoka? It's hardly likely we'll ever see sales like that again any time soon without event tickets or mobage codes.
And no, not ALL these boys anime come with event tickets. Many of them come with tickets for the first volume or the first two volumes, not all the volumes. And even then, they still sell well after the drop.

Before you decide to call something spam—actually, don't—that's self-moderating. Also, trying to policy your way when you're not even a mod will warrant a warning and or ban on you; keep this in mind. It doesn't matter if you're annoyed by someone spouting the same thing over and over each week. If the show is still on the rankings of selling stuff, then they can talk about it all you want. Keep your annoyance to yourself. All posts related to the discussion that started with it has been deleted.

I honestly doubt SnK S2 will sell that low but my god what an implosion. Also Granblue is already shaping up to be the best selling anime of 2017.
Apr 25, 2017 4:02 PM by Z4K
@hpulley Nope, if I'm not wrong, the girls are talking about an anime that target toward men (they call it Ecchi/harem, right girls?) and we all know Ecchi have a bad sales, only few of them can make it to the top.
Okay, I can understand when you are talking about monogatari since most of the guys love it, but don't forget that girls purchase Gundam and Fate. Like, seriously I know many Japanese fujoshies who love Fate (My fav BL manga worship fate)
True, most of the idol series can't do anything without Event ticket.
As you say there are male otaku who buy YOI and females who buy Gundam but we are talking about the target audiences which as you know, are different.
This is a sales thread so you should try for accuracy here. Elsewhere it doesn't matter as much. Here, genre matters.

Actually no if you are counting just the sales for this season. Nothing really "gay" or all males thing are selling in the rank or something from spring. Hell Starmyu S2 is like a gay series in a sense yet it got less sales than SnK Lol.
But if you mean generally, then yeah Touken got more sales than what SnK got. Well let's not mention that Touken Ranbu is like KanColle but for female audiences and it's pretty damn popular in Japan (I played it before xD)

I know it is still early to make any assumptions but....
How the hell is GrandBlue Fantasy over 60K is that show really good?
Also why is AOT only 3.5k?
Is their no estimate for re:creators yet?
1) SSRs for the game included with the bluray (like Love Live and their promotional URs).
2) Nothing concrete, but it has been too long since s1 and people have lost interest/have other priorities when it comes to buying anime. In simpler words, no hype, people care less for it.
3) I think Re:Creators hasn't been solicited on Amazon yet, so no estimate.

To the above question however I believe Monogatari, Gundam and Fate Zero had no event tickets or model kits, just anime.
I think LoveLive and UtaPri really showed how successful tickets could be so you can specifically blame idol anime for the ticket situation we have today. For the record I am a LoveLiver so I am not complaining, just stating the facts.

@-ShadowClaw- If you purchase the anime of granblue you will get some codes for the game. Since the game is popular In Japan, many Japanese people purchased it so that they can be gods In the game.
@hpulley that's not what the girls meant, they are saying that the boys should leave us enjoy and let us enjoy fangirl as much as we want because before we use to get less series that aimed for girls, now we got out sexy men, why guys are complaining? We never complain what their series is getting a new sequel or selling high.
