Uhh.... no. Quality does not always equate to sales.

That Love Live Sunshine cover <3

I really wish Flip Flappers sold more though....

Mar 7, 2017 5:48 PM by Stark700

Oh shit, I knew YOC was super-popular, but this is just WHOA level O_O

I was wondering if the infamous scene from the 7th episode is going to look a bit... different on the BD huehue, but I guess it's in the next volume.

Mar 7, 2017 5:09 PM by Kitsu-nee

Seeing this somehow makes me happy with the sales, although for Flip Flappers... wow it really hurts x.x

YASS! Love Live Sunshine still selling pretty strong....and also happy for how much Yuri on Ice is selling. We need more good diversity shows in this medium instead of all the crap harem series that we always get. If they are going to make more harem shows, I hope it's like Grisaia no Kajitsu or Rakuen because they actually turned out to be great.

Oh God, SAO Ordinal Scale has now earned 1.4 billion yen ($12 million) and is on track to pass Madoka Magica Movie 3. I wonder how much the international movie screenings will add up to SAO Ordinal Scale's total revenue right now though? Most likely, a lot.

Happy for OS' financial success. I actually had a friend who thought that Ordinal Scale will flop because the series has lost its hype after SAO II but I'm glad that's not the case.

At least Macross Delta, Re:Zero, SAO OS and Love Live sold well
Actually Macross Delta didn't sell that well. Compared to the last series, it dropped a ton. The CD albums sold well but that's about it.

Love Live Sunshine is doing well now that there are 3 more concert tickets. Not in stock at Amazon until the 24th though so probably not much in the way of sales for a few weeks.

Mar 7, 2017 9:42 AM by hpulley

so sad for IBO, its S2 sales got dunked on. No TV Gundam could reach 10k again thanks to Gundam F***king rAGE (The last Gundam that reach 10k or more is Gundam 00). I'd blame Sunrise for this

At least Macross Delta, Re:Zero, SAO OS and Love Live sold well

Mar 7, 2017 8:01 AM by SaltyShoebill

Sunshine coming strong, a concert just happened I think.

Noice, great for this show I'd say.

With this weekly ranking sales, Re:Zero should be selling on average ~10k per volume right? Not bad at all.

In another news... YOI and Love Live keeps on selling with high numbers. Anime industry will have to take notes now from this data. It's either a popular group idol or the fabulous yaoi couple on ice that will sell crazy.

Mar 7, 2017 7:07 AM by DarklordVor

For a second I thought this week's top seller was Keijo and I was like "wait wut?" lol

Mar 7, 2017 6:29 AM by joe_g7

@daggerswithroses

Actually, you are right. 55k is too much for an anime that doesn't have an event ticket. And I didn't notice that V3 did better than V2. Thanks for informing me.

About Sunshine!! V5 & V6 will get boost when V7 is out I guess. So we should wait till 1st week of April.

Strong second week sales for Sunshine Vol 6, Vol 5 had some great sales as well. I'm happy. :D

Considering they added (or I guess revealed...) 3 concert event tickets to the laat three volumes of sunshine (for a total of 5 event ticket volumes), it would be very very bad if there wasnt a huge boost haha. (There has been stock issues so expect Sunshine sales to trickle in over the next couple months)

Yaoi-Senpai said:
55k copies for vol.3! Tho I expected more for the second week. I hope Vol.3 reach at least near 60k.

Why did you expect more? Its pretty great considering that its a bigger second week than the v2 event ticket volume had....

Mar 7, 2017 5:28 AM by daggerswithroses

Nice to see Flip Flappers in the list and all, but that numbers.. *sniff*. Yuyushiki last week and now Pretty Days, great list.

zombie_pegasus said:
Wait, the Pretty Days and Planetarian movies are out on blu-ray now? Subs when? Also, Pretty Days has an incorrect link (it links to Kiniro Mosaic rather than the movie).

Subs for Pretty Days released yesterday, I think.
