Light novel 'Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou' Gets TV Anime Adaptation for Summer 2017

It will be revealed in the May edition of this year's Kodansha's Monthly Shounen Sirius magazine that light novel Youkai Apartment no Yuuga na Nichijou (Refined Daily at the Supernatural Entity Apartment) will be receiving a TV anime adaptation in Summer 2017. More information will be revealed on the next issue.

Synopsis
Inaba Yuushi's parents died in his first year of middle school, and he moved in with his relatives. Though they did care for him, he could tell he was a burden. After he graduated, he happily prepared to move to a high school with a dormitory. Unfortunately, the dormitory burned to the ground before he could move in! Yuushi doesn't want to live with his grudging relatives, but it's rough finding lodging as an orphaned student with little money. He finally finds a room in a nice old building which seems too good to be true.

The catch is that it is a Monster House, a place where humans and supernatural creatures—ghosts, mononoke, etc.—live together. Another high schooler lives there, a cute girl named Akine, and she's completely unfazed by the monsters. In fact, she can even exorcise evil spirits! Yuushi's high school life just got much stranger than he ever bargained for! (Source: MangaHelpers)

The series is written by Hinowa Kouzuki and ran between October 2003 and March 2009 for a total of 10 volumes. A manga adaptation by Waka Miyama has been serialized in Monthly Shounen Sirius since May 2011 with 12 volumes in publishing. The 13th compiled volume is shipping on April 7.

I love anything yokai plus I sense load of bishies so why not.

it has lot bishies and some fujo tease, but this was not gay at all... this mainly spiritual series if anything... also it's adapted mainly from LN anyways, and pretty sure LN will has less things like this...

no, it was mainly sol and spiritual... thats how is it... the closest one i can think of is mix between natsume supranatural and bokura wa minna kawaisou SOL... it's main focus is MC and apartement and event happened around it... it doesn't really have overreaching plot... there are some sad moment, but i don't see how it will be CGI...

It's SoL (and supernatural) but mostly SoL through and through. Kinda what would be if Natsume Yuujinchou got all sentimental.

I like yokai/slice of life stuff a lot, but I hope this won't turn out to be as lame as Kiitarou Shounen no Youkai Enikki.

I like Yokai as much as the next person... but this isn't really selling me to be fairly honest? I mean I am not sure.

I've only read the manga version but given that the LN is completed, we may be getting a full adaptation.

I started the light novel of this a while ago, but dropped it after reading only half of the first volume. It was really just a children's book, very shallow in content, trying to impose some values on the reader, and extremely boring overall.

Maybe the anime/manga adaptations will be better, but I don't have much expectations from it.
