Thanks for the info. I'm getting intrigued about the leprechauns and more stuff from the world of this anime. Hopefully the studio that picked this up would do this series justice.
Just adding, contrary to what anime studios usually do, Satelight announced the VA of characters that aren't appearing in the first episode. This includes Noft and her friend Lantork (as they are away on an escort mission when the story starts), which both may not appear until the second half of the series, depending of the pacing. Maybe they're going to change the order of scenes or something, but if not, no Inori Minase until half way in.
Hopefully yes.
A plot that sounds awesome but is something you get from your generic action harems......doesn't have a harem tag......shit might be good!
As I said above
"no ecchi, no harem, pretty much no action. Science fantasy, romance, drama. Most scene happens in an "orphanage".
It's a sad but beautiful tale, about the last survivor of humanity, who try to teach to a young other race the importance of their own lives, as well as to teach to others races around that this race has a right to live and be happy, and not just being considered weapon/furniture. Trying to be accepted by them, to give them the will to live, and to teach them how to survive as long as possible during their ephemeral lifespan... without throwing away their lives like they used to do until now.
It's also a strange tale about the end of the "human" world, and the truth behind it."
So not only there's no harem but not that much action either, so depending of what you like that may not be for you ^^".
If the story is awesome then its all good.

@Zefyris sorry for question, but is Limeskin, that dragon guy, a major character or he has only some small presence in the story?
Ah, thanks. That is nice to hear. I like his design and he is voiced by my favorite VA.

I don't think there's any clear cut anti war imagery in Sukasuka. I mean there was a war 500 years ago but that's not what caused the end of humanity since it pretty much finished one year prior to the tragedy, and the races that survived are currently at peace since humanity has declined (I meant, is extinct, couldn't avoid that one~ :p ). The threat on the ground hardly count as war, since the ground side doesn't acknowledge this as a war in any way.
Aaah, I get why you're saying that now, but I still don't agree, because
If anything, it's more on the line of stories reflecting on what is the definition of life, along the line of AI and sentient mechanical entities, that kind of subject; rather than how war makes peoples lose sight on the value of life itself.

It will almost have completely no action if its adapted and paced correctly.
Grave of fireflies LN side would probably be more another long title holder (but older), "satougashi no dangan wa uchinukenai : a lolypop or a bullet".
I don't know what anime to compare sukasuka with though, as it's fairly unusual for a story.
Well I used that comparison mainly because of

Noft is a "she". Or a 'it" if you consider that leprechauns are not legally considered living beings but furnitures/weapons instead.

I just checked the anime entry and I only recently discovered the character page updated with character pictures and the seiyuus. Is Inori Minase's character, Nofuto, a boy or a girl?

Despite being currently listed as a main character on MAL, Inori Minase's character Noft/Nofuto (wrongly listed as Ifuto, should be a "no" rather than a "i") isn't really what you would call "main" at all, unfortunately.

@tsubasalover : maybe you should change the "i" of ifuto for a "no" in the list- although mal database is also wrongly listing it as ifuto (despite having as a picture for the character a pic with the name clearly written on it).

Lots of unknown names in there, some really surprising chocies for little kid as well. I hope satelight will be able to handle it properly, as that would be a huge waste otherwise >_<.
Well sorry, i just read:
"humanity went extinct at the hands of the fearsome "Beasts.""
"Only a small group of young girls, the Leprechauns, can wield the ancient weapons needed to defeat these creatures."
Infinite Stratos was first thing to come to mind....
how about what I wrote in the expectation thread as a complement then :
"no ecchi, no harem, pretty much no action. Science fantasy, romance, drama. Most scene happens in an "orphanage".

So far so good as far as VAs are concerned. Can't wait to see PV
Hopefully they do this justice. The fact that Wada Junichi is directing is....not giving me confidence in this.
On other hand based Tatsuya Kato soundtrack so at least something good will come.
LOL.
If this is adapted properly it will pretty much have almost zero action total.

Please don't tell me it's anything like RE:Zero. I mean the edge factor.
I don't think there's really anything you could call "edgy" in this one. It's not a happy story, sure, but a calm and sad one.
Okay! *spots Inori Minase's name* I'm really happy that she earns another role. :') Definitely looking forward to this.
