It was announced that manga Ajin will get a live action movie for 2017. The protagonist, Kei Nagai is a medical intern in the live action movie, with his age adjusted to match that of Takeru Satoh (Live-action Rurouni Kenshin), his actor. The movie will be directed by Katsuyuki Motohiro (Chief Director of Psycho-Pass Movie). The action team of live-action Rurouni Kenshin movie trilogy will also join the production.

Ajin is drawn by Gamon Sakurai, and has been serialized in good! Afternoon magazine since March 2012. The manga has been adapted into an anime movie trilogy, two seasons of TV anime series, as well as three OVAs.

A lot of anime that gets turned in to a live actions are usually bad but as for ajin I think a live action will be good.

Preach it

(I'm really hoping this doesn't suck)

I hope too! I have a big faith with the Rurouni Kenshin movie team since it is the only live action adaptation so far that did not suck. Oh, almost forgot. 2nd will be the Chihayafuru live action which was actually pretty good too.

The Black Ghosts are the only good thing in CGI, so that's fine. I bet it's going to be better than the anime.

Hopefully they'll make more than just 1 movie, so they can adapt the plane scene.

They really are doing a lot for this series, but does it pay off in the end? I don't see it charting anywhere.

Anyways, happy for the fans if anyone will be watching the live action.

Manga selling around 500k per volume which is equivalent of 40-50k disc sales of anime.

I'm quite excited, hope it's a good one and doesn't flop on the outcome, seeing as how live action adaptions can do that more often than not. Thumbs up!

I was like "whatever" when I saw this, but then seeing that this will be done by the Rurouni Kenshin team and Kenshin's actor will be a part of it too made me interested in this.

Never mind the fact that Nagai is going to be a medical intern instead of a high school student, I hope this will be good.

I really like the anime series but I am afraid it will not be adapted well if live action. Especially the Ajin form. But well, it is from the Rurouni Kenshin movie team so they might make it good.

P.S: and hopefully One OK Rock will do the music again.

Surprising considering that isn't even that popular of a series to begin with.

The manga is pretty popular. The anime isn't.

I hope the adaptation would be good...

Welp Uh... Not really interested anyways but, I don't really get why does the entire Live Action thing has to spread, but at the same time... for Ajin, it won't work, because they have to make this CGI anyways (not the people though obviously). It's pretty much a bad idea regardless. Imo.
