Additional Cast for 'Drifters' Announced

The official website for the upcoming Fall 2016 TV anime Drifters has announced additional cast members. The series is expected to premiere on October 7 at 23:00 JST via Tokyo MX, followed by Tochigi TV, KBS Kyoto, and Gifu Housou. FUNimation previously announced that the series will be simulcast on their streaming platform, though the streaming date has yet to be announced.

Nao Kanno: Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV)
Butch Cassidy: Daisuke Ono (B-Project: Kodou*Ambitious)
The Sundance Kid: Wataru Takagi (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Diamond wa Kudakenai)
Minamoto no Yoshitsune: Akira Ishida (Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu)

Drifters will adapt the manga series of the same name, which is drawn by Kouta Hirano. The series has been serialized in Young King OURs magazine since 2009 and currently has five volumes published. The fifth volume was released on June 6 of this year and included a 41-minute OVA episode. Dark Horse licensed the manga for North American release in August 2011, with its most recent volume released in March 2014.

Watched the OVA and wasn't very much impressed by it. But the series could be better. I'll just wait and see.

OH my goodness!

I HAVE to watch this show. Not only is the author, the animation and soundtrack crews outstanding, but it's also packed with many of my favourite voice actors! *shrieks*

The cast has been coming along nicely for Drifters. This should prove to be one of the better shows in Fall. Looking forward.~
