The selection committee of the 40th Kodansha Manga Awards is composed of mangaka Ken Akamatsu (Love Hina), Tochi Ueyama (Cooking Papa), Oh! Great (Air Gear), Atsushi Kase (Chameleon), Miyuki Kobayashi (Kitchen no Ohimesama), Yuuji Moritaka (Gurazeni), and Kazumi Yamashita (Fushigi na Shounen).

Well of course it'd work out that way. Two of the three winners are in the works of an anime adaptation. I was thinking of starting Days because it's getting an anime adaptation and it received an award but I'd probably get too lazy and just watch the anime, LOL.

Really nice to see bnha winning, that should answer some of the haters in MAL here. I have to pick up Golden kamuy though.
It didn't win. Days won in it's category.
I meant winning the second place, but no rankings are there I realized now.

I look forward to seeing the Days anime adaptation this Summer. Nice to see it winning the Shounen category.
