Kodansha's official website listed the winners for the 39th Kodansha Manga Awards in each of the following categories:

Shounen
Nanatsu no Taizai by Nakaba Suzuki
Publishing since 2012 in Weekly Shounen Magazine

Yowamushi Pedal by Wataru Watanabe
Publishing since 2008 in Shounen Champion

Shoujo
Nigeru wa Haji daga Yaku ni Tatsu by Tsunami Umino
Publishing since 2012 in Kiss

General
Sidonia no Kishi by Tsutomu Nihei
Publishing since 2009 in Afternoon

Special Award
Cooking Papa by Tochi Ueyama
Publishing since 1984 in Morning

The Best Children's Manga award was combined with the Best Shounen and Shoujo Manga categories this year.

Not really.A lot of companies award thier employee in Japan and a lot of publishing companies award their novel/manga/magazines etc to encourage people.

These awards are only given to the titles that are serialized in Kodansha's magazine.

Why would Hunter x Hunter win? Togashi hasn't released a chapter in almost a year.

Also, none of those manga are 'craps.' They are good manga and deserve the awards.

congrats to nanatsu no taizai... i didn't expect that....

sidonia got the general spot and that was quite surprising... i thought people dislikes that kind of manga, but i suppose that i was wrong
