Interesting to see that BnHA is having some nice success. Will it continue once the anime completes, or is it going to be another NnT where it has a monstrous boost but then really falls back down to Earth?

After five weeks,
17. 63,978 1,651,670 Shingeki no Kyojin vol.18
13. 74,441 1,472,936 Shingeki no Kyojin Vol.19
14. 46,940 2,674,112 One Piece Vol.80
14. 62,626 2,395,603 One Piece Vol.81
Very good for holds for both. SnK just managed to have the biggest ever fifth weekend of any manga volume. The previous biggest fifth weekend was also achieved by a SnK volume; volume 16, which sold 73,207 copies also during the Golden week showing just how lucrative this week is. One Piece for its part had the second biggest fifth week in the series (slightly behind volume 71's 67,865).
Both of these volumes did better than the previous ones at a comparable point and are slowly reducing the gap but will likely not completely erase it (at least not while they're still on the list). One Piece vol.81 is now running 10.4% behind vol.80 while Snk vol.19 is running 10.8% behind vol.18. Now the question is whether they'll manage to keep reducing their deficit after the holidays. Definitely possible.

Good golden week boost. The backlog volumes sold ~25.7k on average, that's a 17% increase over last week (~22k). I've just looked at some possible comparisons (spring anime with a boost and how their manga fared on this week). Haikyuu and Arslan Senki remained pretty stable compared to their pre-GW numbers (~25k). Arslan Senki slowed down dramatically afterwards while Haikyuu just kept going for several more weeks at that same (or similar) pace. SnK on the other hand was pretty crazy in that it had a massive boost this week of about 54% (backlog volumes were averaging 38.1k the week before and then jumped to 58.5k this week). The crazier thing is that it maintained and even improved upon these numbers as the weeks went on.
All those three had two cours however so BnHA might not have their legs (those of HQ and SnK that is).

The manga volume sales are the highest sales of a SINGLE VOLUME (book) of manga in the period. The series sales are the highest sales for ALL VOLUMES (books) sold of a manga series during the period. Often the series sales are dominated by the most recent released volume of a series except in some cases where there are many earlier volumes being purchased, often due to an anime boost.
is there any website for Manga release date?

what the difference between manga volumes and series?
May 12, 2016 8:56 AM by Gintoki_KotAro
Happy to see Bnha having a boost, I hope that the DVDs and Bluerays will sell well too, so Bones can make a second season soon.
Also, can someone tell me how are the sales of the series guidebook compared with another ones? Good? Normal? Bad?
Most WSJ adaptations care more about manga sales than anything. If MHA keeps up the strong and consistent backlog sales, then a second season is very likely.
The recent World Trigger guidebook sold 63,352 in it's first week, however I think what MHA sold was fine.

Can't wait to see the Kuroko no basket movie, mainly for hopefully the great animation. During the TV series there was always some small pits that had really realistic smooth movements. Imagine if the whole movie was like that <3

Bleach is near the end anyway, so you can't be too upset. Same with Toriko, except for the fact it's being vien a rushed ending where Bleach feels more like it's being milked.

well BnHA sold very well before even anime was announced and regarding NNT(i guess it's seven deadly sin) till this day it is selling like hot cake
