According to a report, ex-wrestler who attended 1984 Summer Olympics and politician Hiroshi Hase attended μ's' final concert Love Live! μ's Final LoveLive! ~μ'sic Forever♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪~ on March 31 and April 1 with Takaaki Kidani, the Bushiroad president and New Japan Pro-Wrestling owner. Hiroshi soon became a fan of the group, to the extent where he proclaims himself as the "Love Liver Minister", and he wishes to invite the group to attend the opening or closing ceremony of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games.

μ’s is a group from the Love Live! franchise. They recently participated in Japan’s end-of-year event Kouhaku Utagassen, which was broadcast on the NHK last year. There is also a short anime especially for it.

I understand your point.
It is sometimes hard enough to find full opening/ending songs on the internet which audio quality is good enough to enjoy the music. Not even talking about japanese high-school-girl-bands which are playing great songs, but are relatively unknown outside of japan...

Actually the Love Live wiki has every single song and karaoke in lossless.

Edit: Didn't look at the date of this news lol...

Which of their songs do you recommend?

Cutie Panther by BiBi, Unbalance Love by Printemps, Binetsu Kara Mystery by Lily White, Wild Stars or Aishiteru Banzai! (Original) by μ's for some examples.

I heard the songs, but I don't like them. Maybe it's just not my type of music... No hate ( ´∀`)

That's reasonable, while I consider them to be really good songs it still took a lot to get used to even though they stray fairly far from the realm of generic idolshit which the show features

They span quite a bit further in genres and my taste's mostly in rock/metal and that's where my preference comes from, I'm sure there's at least something at everyone would end up liking depending on what other music they liked (unless they're disgusted by the sound of japanese high-school girls)

The issue is that if one doesn't like either those tracks or the ones in the show it's probably going to be too hard to find something good and it probably won't be worth worrying about

I haven't even seen this, but awesome for them, hope they get chosen if that's in the final vote.

μ's is fantastic. Some of their songs that were not in the TV anime series, promotional videos or the movie are even better than the ones they had animated.

People with good taste like μ's. People with shit taste also like μ's. If you don't like μ's you don't have any taste. If this doesn't make sense, don't quote me.

Which of their songs do you recommend?

Knee problems don't quite completely heal up, and can carry on for the rest of your life. Nanjo was only able to perform at the Final Live because she skipped many other events (most notable is Kouhaku at the end of the year, which actually made her cry during the fripside live held on the same day), and the songs she performed in were not as movement intensive on her knee.

"Sore wa Bokutachi no Kiseki" was the song that Muse performed at Kouhaku, and she wasn't present for that song as expected during the Final Live (I watched it live over live stream in Australia), so no she hasn't recovered well enough to put too much strain on her knee. Just well enough for the less movement intensive songs as you'd expect for someone with a knee problem.

I'm not taking her injury lightly. My point was even THAT much is quite a feat considering her injury.

In her current condition it wouldn't be realistic I agree, but by 2020 I don't see her knee being a huge problem for a single opening ceremony performance. It's not like it would be a 2-day non-stop event like the final live.

I wouldn't mind one of the members being PM.

As for Babymetal, that's fine too although I don't care for a couple of their songs. Anything is better than AKB48 and the embarrassment that will follow Japan for who knows how long.
The thing that annoys me is that an AKB48 performance is practically inevitable simply because of how popular they are in Japan.

The only time AKB48 has gotten the attention of world news is when one of the girls shaved her head because she got caught with a guy (Which DOES NOT make AKB48 look good believe me). Since anime is one of Japan's biggest exports AKB0048 might have stood a chance of introducing AKB48 to the western world but the show flopped even in Japan. Considering it got a shitty Sentai dub, I doubt it did much better here.

Love Live and Babymetal would actually be more logical given their success overseas. Love Live isn't even THAT popular but it's a hell of a lot more popular here than AKB48 is. Anyone who was in Sydney for the Final Live should know that.

I want them to perform Snow Halation at the Olympics so the world can cry.

Oh yes please! Love Live is way more popular than AKB48 in the west so it would make a whole lot more sense. Anime is one of the Japan's biggest exports and Love Live is one of the most popular anime to come out in recent years. It's a no brainer.

I've never EVER sat through either the opening or closing ceremony of the Olympics but I would definitely tune in if μ's performed.

Would be better if it was Babymetal doing the Olympics opening.
That's actually plausible. Metal Resistance is the first album to hit the Billboard Top 40 in 53 years. Also here in Australia it debuted at number 7 on the ARIA charts. They're practically mainstream at this point.

Hmmm... Chances are very slim for this achievement to happen but if they can secure a spot at the Olympics..

then hell yeah, they are the 1st seiyuu group to even do that at all <3 They can just sing and not dance like they used to before.. I doubt 35 nanjolno can still take the pressure of µ's choreography

Once your idol career is done, you either marry a rich man or star in an adult video

that's irrelevant to μ's, they're not idols.

Nanjo as a knee problem though, so it may be more realistic if the Aqours seiyuu were to perform at the Olympics. Most of the Aqours seiyuu will be in their mid-20s by 2020.

Her knee problem was caused by an injury about a year ago and has been healing quite well (considering she was able to perform in the final live at all). She should have no problem performing by 2020.
