Cast of TV Anime 'Boku dake ga Inai Machi' Announced

The official website of the upcoming Boku dake ga Inai Machi TV anime has announced the cast members of the series. The series will begin airing on January 8 at 12:55 a.m. on Fuji TV's noitaminA programming block.

Satoru Fujinuma: Shinnosuke Mitsushima (live-action Hanazakari no Kimitachi e: Ikemen☆Paradise 2011)
Satoru Fujinuma (10-year-old): Tao Tsuchiya (live-action Rurouni Kenshin)
Kayo Hinazuki: Aoi Yuuki (Nanatsu no Taizai)
Airi Katagiri: Chinatsu Akasaki (Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!)
Kenya Kobayashi: You Taichi (Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata)
Hiromi Sugita: Akari Kito (Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!? (TV))
Osamu: Ayaka Nanase
Kazu: Yukitoshi Kikuchi (Gin no Saji)
Jun Shiratori: Takahiro Mizushima (Charlotte)
Sachiko Fujinuma: Minami Takayama (Detective Conan)
Gaku Yashiro: Mitsuru Miyamoto (Baccano!)

The series is adapted from Kei Sanbe's manga of the same name that began publishing in June 2012. The manga placed ninth among male readers in the 2015 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings and was nominated for the 8th Manga Taisho Award.

Just clicked on this series to check it out and was really surprised to see Tsuchiya's name in the cast list! I'm curious how she would be as a seiyuu. I like her, she's a hardworking and talented actress.

I'm fine with Aoi Yuuki-seems like a good fit. Hope the live actors do a decent job with our MC.

A bunch of live-action actors and Aoi Yuuki? Pretty solid.

Though I think the manga is average at best I will see if Kajiura and these guys can save it.

Rokujouma no Shinryakusha!? (TV) was chosen to be listed probably because the news mod. who posted it thinks it's more recent.

I don't remember exactly why, but I remember that anime instead of character was decided to be listed instead was because it would be too wordy? Though it makes a bit sense that now you mentioned about it (though it might be confusing about the character without listing where the character was from).

Always good to see new faces doing VA work, so good luck to them in their respective roles. Based on the PV, I’d say the VAs doing the MC sounded pretty good.

Truth to be told, I sometimes get tired of seeing the same people over and over voicing characters. Yes, they are good, but it's always nice to see others (newcomers and less popular VAs) given a chance.

They're not newbies. They are veteran live-action actors.

I'm usually ok with actors, they are different most of the time but not necessarily bad, but sometimes their voice acting in anime outright sucks, hope these are ok.

Interesting cast choice, I think that would work well with the tone of the series, especially the two live-action actors. No wonder Satoru sounded so realistic and "normal" in the CM.
