Didn't expect Marnie to be No.1 in the DVD chart since I heard it was quite a flop at the box office.
I'm waiting for it to be released in the Italian theaters. Still 6 months to go.
Even though Yonebayashi's previous movie, Arrietty, was a bit disappointing.

I wasn't talking about the producer, it was about the consumers. It just seems weird to me that people would buy a recap movie instead of the full series. But then, I think many people don't really care if the content was trimmed, as long as it's watchable and more affordable.

I have thought of that, but I doubt that, that's just.. o_o Anime are not cheap. It also didn't make much sense given that the show sold really well.

I'm worried about Kancolle Kai though, it got delayed to August 27th and since the anime will be over tomorrow, being released so far after the marketing phase will affect sales.

Who said they were sold out? It just seems weird to buy a recap movie, half the content was cut out, but maybe people just don't care about it as much as I do. Imo it's a waste of money to purchase a recap of something.

Some people may have already bought the show, and still wanted the movie to support their favorite series. Actually I bet at least 90% of the ones who bought the movie already own a copy of the TV show too.
