'Aoki Uru' to Premiere Worldwide in 2018

It was announced that Aoki Uru will premiere worldwide in 2018. It was also announced that a short titled "Overture," created by a newly launched Uru in Blue LLP (Limited Liability Partnership) in Singapore, will be pre-streamed worldwide in Spring 2015. The details of the project were also announced at Anime Festival Asia 2014 in Singapore on December 5th.

Because they're looking for investors, and word of mouth hype might get more companies to become interested.

Same thing with video games these days. The announcements are made so freaking early to build hype and aid in marketing. It's a little ridiculous and this case for sure. Three freaking years out lol.

2018... Wow, that's sure planning ahead. But then again, they've been planning this for so long, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up extending it to 2030 or something. The animation better be amazing, haha.

I think it's next Spring, actually.
Still, I heard this is very much in the air still, and that they don't even have their investors right yet, they also want the budget to be around $40M, which is kinda silly for an animated film, but obviously this is not the sort of thing they'll rely on ticket sales or BDs for profit.

Pretty sure it's a budget issue. I do have high expectations for this though.

It was for "Pilot Film" when initially announced. I saw the title change few months ago with premiere year being 2018 (worldwide was just recently), so I guess the staff changed their thought about making it.
