Not much exciting this week but this is kind of depressing.

I agree I love that series that Blu Ray box would be my collection in a heartbeat. Maybe it didnt get enough promotion.

For me the first season of Aikatsu is the best one (ok, the third has just started...) so I am happy that is seeling good in the BD box set. Now, Happiness charge precure DVD really sold a little... I wonder what happened when the BD comes out.

I want some exclusive Shipgirl DLC for the PS Vita version of Kancolle in both BD/DVD releases and maybe magazine bonuses like Senran Kagura did. Cinderella Girls needs to have some exclusive CD bonuses and some codes for exclusive cards in magazines and maybe the BD/DVD releases as well

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu is supposed to be a popular franchise right? Not that that will necessarily translate to good sales, but maybe it will.

I hope there is a dark horse. I think it would be boring if only the shows with established fanbases do well. I'd like to see an under the radar show do well...maybe Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata. That one intrigues me because of the staff (Same director as Usagi Drop, Creator worked on White Album 2).

The synopsis for that makes it sound like a parody or something, doubt it will be anything big.
And Ansatsu is going to be CG, I honestly still don't know how Japan feels about CG but if they really like it then it's going to be pretty successful since it already has fans and all to begin with.

Winter is not looking to be very original though, lots of shows from Fall will carry over and a bunch of the Winter shows are sequels to something or something with an already decently sized franchise.
That said, I expect (read: want) Rolling Girls to be the suprise of the season.

Winter 2015 will be interesting. KanColle only needs to bundle some serial codes or something for limited edition shipgirls and a few good extras and it should sell massively. Let's see what Im@s Cinderella Girls will do in terms of extras, but I expect these two to take top 2 for Winter 2015, unless we have a dark horse lurking.

Love Live! movie will most likely be in Spring 2015, just needs to perhaps bundle an event ticket and some Sukufesu serial codes on its BD (probably around December-ish) and it should sell above 100k.

Daaamn that Shounen Hollywood sales, seems like male idols show is not working well in Japan.

Nah. Look at UtaPri. ShoHari just didn't appeal a lot to it's fanbase. The character designs, not much(if any) bromance between the male characters, a slow start...all these things can hurt it.

And Free! is not an idol anime but its CDs are selling like hotcakes. Plus there's Tsukiuta, Marginal4 and other smaller idol drama CDs and the like. So I'd say the demand is there but Shohari just didn't fit in.

One update for 2014 Spring rankings. M3 is the newest member of the **,*** club. Sold under 213 BDs and under 212 DVDs. Well, didn't expect anything on DVD based on its Stalker estimate... but perhaps could've had a BD lower bound had there been a 1st week low ranking Idol Image BD this week.

Deserves more sales!

For me it's the worst thing about the show. Doesn't fit it whatsoever. Ending is significantly better in that regard and IMO even a more pleasant song to listen to. BLAZING is just kind of a generic loud J-POP tie-in song.

Atleast it will break 2K next week and why doesn't it have a limited editon? :( mad

Box week indeed, wondering about that Nanoha BD box, is it just a re-release? Also glad for Fate/kaleid still selling, same for Nozaki-kun, really the only anime I want to see selling well for Summer since I know everything else either won't get another season or it doesn't need it or it's pretty much confirmed, that said I'm doubting S2 for Nozaki-kun either way, hope Fate ends up getting a full adaptation though.
