^ I would add to that: Love Live is "cute girls doing cool and meaningful things." That's why I like it so much.
Me too!

I also love how it came from nothing and now it does so well. The girls really deserve it. Seeing them in the concerts, the first one where the anime was announced, crying real tears of happiness. Then after the 3rd anniversary concert, crying real tears of happiness again when the second season was announced. Hard to believe the first single sold like 453 copies or something like that. Look at them now... so happy for them!

It seems to be the only full cute-girls-doing-cute-things this season, so not much competition! Yay!

Not much competition save the series that has been top 4 on Amazon for more than 1 week already..........
LoveLive! really isn't a slice of life show though. The girls are very cute and they are doing very cute things but it is an idol show so I really don't think it is competing in the SOL category.

It is a juggernaut of course. LoveLive! no Kyojin!

You're welcome.

Personally, I'm rooting for Gochiusa the most, it would be amazing if it could achieve something similar to KinMosa but I'll be really happy with anything above Manabi Line.

Bokura wa Minna Kawaiisou seems eh in term of sales. Manga sales are in the 50k so I hope the anime does it some boosts.

After pulley's insight on Isshukan Friends' bonuses, I'm thinking that it might have a nice average after all, looking at its current performances. I do hope for a manga boost too.

My problem is she's using her Nyaruko-san voice. I LOVE that voice but every time Ene speaks I want to sing the theme song... "CHAOS CHAOS I wanna CHAOS ... MADNESS MADNESS You wanna MADNESS..." Which sounds funny but I'm sure they'd prefer it if this show made me want to sing Jin's songs, not Nyaruko-san songs...

Interesting that it is an anti-otaku series. Should make for interesting sales patterns. Up to 106.
The bigger problem is, she's using more or less the same voice all the time.

So which shows are showing good pre-order numbers already? Or am I too early again?
Obviously Love Live. Mahouka is high and will sell well but so far I don't see any signs letting me think it would exceed the expectations (they're very high though). Mekaku looked like it was slowing down with its rise but now it jumped 97 -> 68, still too soon to say anything. Let's see how high it gets and how long will it stay there. Daimidaler surprised me the most, I wonder how will it look in two weeks. Isshukan Friends is in nice position to do decently if things go well. Haikyuu is KnB 0.5 so it will certainly sell well. Don't get tricked by Sidonia as it will be released much earlier than other shows. It's probably going for manga boost anyway. DAL II had strong start but is surprisingly low now. I wonder if it aired in Tokyo yet, that could explain lack of ep 01 boost.
I guess that's it?

Now that is what I call a thorough answer. Thanks, mate.

Man, if it could average 3k, I'd be so grateful.

I hope it would too. If it does, producers might think these kinds of shows are money makers so they might consider doing TV adaptions of similar shows such as Kashiwagi-san, Horimiya, Midara and Oremonogatari :D :D :D

It isn't much, but my favorite anime this season, Isshukan Friends is actually in the top 300! It's not a show aimed at otaku OR fujoshi and it has a very shoujo feel to it so I'm surprised to see it there.

And afaik, there are no extra bonuses and the like in volume 1.

Man, if it could average 3k, I'd be so grateful.
I don't see an event ticket but there are bonuses.

Mini-soundtrack CD.

Kanade ED music video, Kaori
A full voice Kaori's diary edition of episode #2
Non-credit OP & ED
PV
Booklet

No event ticket, no OVA so I'd say volume 2 shouldn't drop much though v2 does not seem to have a CD extra. It does have Full Voice Kaori's diary editions of episodes 3 and 4 though.

It is from a shounen manga but in fact it feels more like seinen 4-koma to me aside from all the furigana and the fact that it runs in Gangan Joker.

And I'm still anxiously waiting for SoreSekai to be solicited. I hope it can also average 3k.

I'd love it if it sold more than that, only 2 episodes in, but I would love a 2nd season.

Depends on your defintion of 'good'.

Love Live!, Mahouka, Haikyuu! and Kenzen Robo Daimidaler are the ones with the best performance so far.

People forget that Mekaku is a non-moe show, and its fanbase is a generation younger than the BD/DVD buying Haruhi crowd. That's why it had 300k viewers in NicoNico, the fanbase is built there. So it was always a massive wild card as to how well it would do in BD/DVD sales, it needed support from the non-vocaloid fanbase and ATM that support doesn't seem to be coming.
>no moe

Mekaku is climbing and now at 160.
Not bad but the amount of trolling from Yaraon and 2ch is on another level.
Otaku must reaaaaly hate the franchise hahaha. The only good place you'll see positive feedbacks is on twitter and LINE.
You've got to give credit for Iwakami (Aniplex producer), Shinbo and Yase (directors), Kubota (Shaft producer) and JIN (guy responsible for all of this) for being professionals for the silence. These guys know how to risk.

Now all we need is Jojo 3's amazon appearance.

Well, thats a surprise. Mekakucity Actors initial Amazon ranking is #221.
SAO's initial ranking was #356, this figure is meaningless.
However Mekaku didn't rise much after an hour, it is now at #218. Let's give it few hours though before saying anything decisive.

I've no idea about its reception in Japan. But it appears that the premiere of Mekaku City Actors gets severely panned on every english-speaking communities i visit, with most people (again) berating over Shinbo's pretentious visual flair.

I myself found the show very dull, so dropped it
