Persona 3 gets an anime adaptation

The video game Persona 3 for the PS2 that was released in Japan on July 13, 2006 and subsequently released in North America on August 14, 2007 is getting an anime adaptation that will air in January 2008.

Aniplex's A-1 Pictures is adapting the Persona 3 PlayStation 2 role-playing game as a television anime series under the name Persona -trinity soul- for a January 2008 premiere. The anime is set a decade after the game, and will center around three brothers in a future city where the dead have risen with their skins turned inside out. The Persona games themselves are spinoffs from the long-running Shin Megami Tensei series.

once at the site click on the Special tab at the top right and that will take you to it.

i'm also pumped about this...i love the game but like most others, i'm also worried about how well the anime adaptation will be...for anyone that cares, there's also a manga of persona 3...last time i checked, two chapters of it was already scanlated... :)

and yeah, the manga is awesome. kind of confusing since i'm only 3 hours into the game, but awesome. which reminds me, i need to update my list.

I was hoping that Persona 3 would get an anime adaptation. With the anime being a sequel to the game I hope they can tie some of the plot that happen in the end of the game.

Yay!!! I waited forever for the game....now I get an anime too! I just hope that it isn't a disappointment like some other game adaptations....*sigh*...guess I'll have to wait and see. (^^)

Whee, that would be totally hot, too! I LOVE playing games on the PSP, haha, even if they are remakes, it's just awesome to have it with you.

I had a weird feeling when I saw this game that this would occur. Should be interesting.
