I am happy to know there'll be more episodes. And the split is fitting since this season covers spring and summer and next probably fall and winter.

Could someone explain what split cours is? Does that mean it'll conmtinue un-interruped will be there a break before they air the 2nd "season"?
The opposite. "Split" means there WILL be interruption and there will be a break before the 2nd "season". For example, in Gin no Saji's case, the 1st part is aired in this summer cour, then a break in the fall cour, and then the 2nd part will be aired in the winter cour - hence "split" cour.

I would love to see more of this anime. =3 And I have no idea how someone call this setting of a farm...generic. Generic would be high school...a regular high school....in a club....k-on club...x3

A World War II or FMA slice of life sounds like slice of action. The best example of a World War II slice of life I can think of would be something like the Diary of Anne Frank.

And if she really was raised on a farm, what better person to write about it? x3 Being a city-boy I personally found a lot of the differences highlighted between city and farm-raised as really insightful and interesting.

Am I right to say this translates to 2 seasons? Already? Nice. I think I'm the only one excited for this anime the most out of the summer 2013 line-up. :/ Looking forward to episode 1.

While I haven't read the manga, I have seen FMAB and since Arakawa Hiromu was raised on a farm, I have high expectations. I hope it doesn't disappoint.

For slice of life show to be successful and interesting it has to be interesting setting or premise(ala gargantia).
Gargantia is only partially Slice of Life (actually only a small part of it).

If it does not - its just another generic slice of life the market is full of(and agriculture is generic as hell)
It is bizarre to say agriculture is generic when we have so few anime about agriculture LOL

he can only watch SLICE of Life if there is Action in the anime.

you see, he say World War ..... which means he wants some conflict or action. and you see he said gargantia as example.......

i bet he will say the same about Moyashimon, Servant x Service, Working..

So sorry for the Mainstream kiddo...

ARG!!!! I get it, but still.

As long as the Summer 2013 half ends in a satisfying way, I'll probably end up not caring.
Hopefully it turns out well otherwise the second half won't have a good airing.

Going for two seasons before looking at first season's ratings and sales?

They got balls. See how this plays out.

Not quite sure what you mean by this. The only two shows running on the noitamina program this fall are Samurai Flamenco and Galileo Donna.

First tv show now even anime started doing that shit too

Actually I like this. It allows us to have great cliffhangers and for the animation quality to remain consistent through entire show, instead of getting QUALITY moments.

I would read a slice of life set in fma-like world any day. Or hell WWII style of slice of life, because Arakawa is master of those settings. But this? Its the most generic and most commercial thing she could have produced.
