ie: Who cares if the live action adaptation sucks, , MORE BGC ANIME!! So, let's hope something comes out of that old and nearly dead 2041. I imagine if anything though, a new possible anime might be (yet another) reboot for the series. The ending to 2040 was kind of goofy, so I'm not sure what they could do if they followed it.

Wow, I missed that part, and I feel stupid for missing it. Indeed, I hope that they are working on 2041.

Hollywood strikes again! The Bastards! -_-

Who will they strike next?

Full Metal Alchemist?
Bleach?
Naruto!?

It's only a matter of time.....

Well hey, if anything, I doubt this'll be as bad as the possible upcomming Robotech film.

Yeah, Robotech, American ... not Macross.

I hate Live-Action! But who knows this is interesting! If it will have good special
effects!

Considering that today every movie is made computer based I believe they can make some realistic thing... Unless they take it as seriously as the Dragon Ball people.

My concern is this movie may cause a huge loss and affect AIC's anime business. It's too risky to invest such a large amount of money. They should have let the Hollywood take the risk.

This is the single best argument for not creating this abortion that could possibly be made. Also, supplementary to that, the fact that real women do not look like anime women and hence will never ever work in Hard Suits seems somewhat germaine to the issue:

I never watched the anime series, not sure what to expect here.. Considering that the live-action movie will target American audiences mainly, I assume the cast will also be from America. It will probably give the DC-Comic live-action appearance.

Fear.

Doesn't seem like the best idea of adaption as far as anime is concerned.
And I'm not an anti-live action anime type person.

As much of an influence BGC 2040 was in starting my love for anime, I'd have to agree with the majority here about it being a bad idea. AIC: work on BGC 2041. Remember? That sequel you were going to do but never bothered to start producing.

I dunno, four women stripping naked before putting on shapely robotic armor followed by various weaponry and explosions with subtle lesbian overtones. Market it to the primarily teenage & young adult anime/sci-fi fanbase...ya, that could work.

I remember hear rumors about something like this back in 99-2000...I guess they finally got it off the ground? The question is, despite a few old school fans, who's gonna really care? I love BGC but seriously, it's been ages.
