I think a lot of people are missing this part:

My concern is this movie may cause a huge loss and affect AIC's anime business. It's too risky to invest such a large amount of money. They should have let the Hollywood take the risk.
This is the single best argument for not creating this abortion that could possibly be made. Also, supplementary to that, the fact that real women do not look like anime women and hence will never ever work in Hard Suits seems somewhat germaine to the issue:

ie: Who cares if the live action adaptation sucks, , MORE BGC ANIME!! So, let's hope something comes out of that old and nearly dead 2041. I imagine if anything though, a new possible anime might be (yet another) reboot for the series. The ending to 2040 was kind of goofy, so I'm not sure what they could do if they followed it.

And I'm not an anti-live action anime type person.

Wow, I missed that part, and I feel stupid for missing it. Indeed, I hope that they are working on 2041.
