Sigh, yet again another anime for Hollywood to slaughter.

Then again Warner Bros has some pretty good movies out there. They "MIGHT" be able to pull it off.

I never understood why you lot of this time period found that whenever an "American" touches the source they are raping it when Japan themselves rape their own anime constantly and no one here seems to mind! Ah but the less intellectual are culturally biased I suppose.

See Speed Racer and The Guyver II. Your opinion should change, wait a few years as well, there are plenty of good Western produced Anime Live Action films to be released in the next 10 or so years for you lot.

so long as they keep the story related to the original and decent casting...

ah hell, real life anime produced by western never been good anyway.

Now now good fellows remember whatever studio can announce they are making such and such film but it might not always be put into production. Examples would be Soul Calibur, Batman Beyond, Plastic Man, The Flash, Evangelion, The Sims, and so on. All of which have had the license bought but the project has been dropped, never to be picked up again. Its always good to assume the film is not coming out until Shooting starts. Once shooting starts that essentially seals the deal.

Too many live action movies coming IMO..

Dragonball ... Death note .. Evangelion ... GITS ... this... etc..

I think hollywood should slow down. Maybe they ran out of Marvel movies to make, but I'd rather they learn from each others' mistakes than all fail at the same time.

Gits?????????????????

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

(rly?)

Yeah. I believe Steven Spielberg has some involvement in the project though, so I have atleast average expectations.

Um...okay?

Well they ruined almost all good comics... I was wondering what's next, but I should've guessed after Dragonball production started. Isn't anyone in Hollywood capable of writing an original script?

Oh great, another one likely to be butchered.
Not that I care this time.

Ninja Scroll was a supposed "classic" I never cared for.
Too gritty and bleh. Just like Vampire Hunter D.
Though for some reason I think I enjoyed Vampire Hunter D more.

In anyway, don't care. But I know they're gonna butcher it.
I mean come on, if we've been taught anything, it's that hollywood cares nothing to do anime right. They could if they wanted to, but they don't apparently.

Though somehow I have better hopes for Warner Bros. than Fox.
(Isn't a fox fan. Their news sucks and most of their television programming and movies suck. To me they're like the dirty cheap redneck version of the other basic channels.)

Ninja Scroll, greaaat, is Tom Cruise going to be Jyuubei? You know, since he played a samurai and everything......damn Hollywood.

what is up with all this turning anime into live action movies? It's getting annoying.

I doubt I will watch this one since I never saw Ninja Scroll

Could be good. I really liked Leo in Gangs Of New York, so I'm anxious to see his work on both this and Akira~
