I am excite.

I've read a little bit of the manga. There is some good comedy that goes along with a few introspective moments, kind of like Korezom or TLRD. The parts that are serious are compelling but they don't detract from the overall comedic feel.

I wouldn't say that it feels like a shoujo although I've only read the little bit that is translated. What I can say is that what I did read does a good job blending the comedy and the romance.

Those who read the synopsis and a few page scans and jump to conclusion is just one more post chipping in the mood of the usual western anime fans. At least I did some research on the manga.

Sometimes, it's getting too tiring to look at every single anime series at a positive light. And my reaction is not that serious either, so don't judge me too hard on that.

Now that you've mentioned the review, perhaps, this series might end up to be the next Lotte no Omocha!.

Best post in this thread.
Best? I think my post is the best in this thread :-) Read it: (repost here)

Anyway, joke aside. The more I research about this manga, the less I think it is that close to ToLoveRu. For one, ImoCho (the nickname used in Japan) is not harem but more like a love comedy with all the veneer of bends and twists that seem to cater for male fantasy. Yet the fact that the author is a female still shows - reviews I read often mention the detailed and sensitive depiction of the thinking and observation by the characters. Some even claim that it is indeed a shoujo manga that is wrapped in a thick clothes of male fanservice genre. I am now even more interested about this manga. Perhaps I should just go and see if I can find the manga to read....

Yet another? Really? I am not too sure after reading some manga reviews... But of course it still depends on how the anime adapts the manga too.

Really? You might have just sold me on that manga.
The review I read that described the manga as like a SHOUJO manga wrapped in Male Fantasy clothing is for the Volume 2 and 3 of the manga (there are 4 volumes released now) and it also said the fanservice is much heavier in Volume 1. So again it all depends how the anime adapts it. It may end up stressing the fan service element or put more focus on the shoujo style of introspection, although I suspect in anime perhaps the former is more likely.

Oh, and the series is yet another "incest-themed anime with a long name" for me. And this is coming from a person who liked Yosuga no Sora.

I'm expecting TLR:D levels of censorship on this one.

Incest... meh, might give it a shot, sounds like it could be funny.

I have no problem with incest, but look, they're completely separate things. It's not ridiculous at all. If someone liked lolis or yuri or whatever I wouldn't go 'wow ridiculous to criticize incest when you like that other stuff', it's not even related.

That being said, it would be nice if people just left what they weren't interested in alone.

You totally missed the point, but then again, i'm not expecting you to get it, though it's still nice of you to back your fellow BL fan, even if it was pointless. but yeah the pot calling the kettle black.

Right, okay, yes please be condescending I eat that shit up. god do I love MAL and its users.

I am just saying I don't think you would've called out a yuri or loli fan for their preferences, and that you're pretty much just as bad as anyone complaining about incest by saying it's ridiculous of them to comment because of a specific preference they themself hold.

Fyi, I like relationships be they f/m, m/m or f/f but yeah this was actually about my love of boys macking with each other. I am the one who missed the point of this, clearly.

well damn...... i really hope this is uncensored.

...I don't think "a little girl, younger than eleven, [making] sexual advances toward her older brother" is quite the same thing as eating watermelon. Purely in terms of statutory rape law, if nothing else.

Even if nothing came of it, I'd wager most older brothers would be... uncomfortable... with such a thing.

Nah i'm not saying it's fine to ehh, rape an underage person, and what i said doesn't necessarily apply to that, it just bugs me when people throw that line around without any valid reason, i mean if someone watches incest and he/she's in love with his/her sister/brother then what the hell is it to me? why make them feel bad about something that doesn't even affect me?

Also, not cool to speak for someone else, wether "older brothers" are comfortable with it or not is none of anyone's buisness. i'm not comfortable with it though, mind you.

I don't think she threw that line around without any valid reason. Unless of course, you think people having sex with little girls is okay in real life. I don't even think it's the incest that bothered her, but rather the sexualization of a young child. She even defended him by saying that it's okay as long as it's not in real life and by saying she also probably has weird preferences. She just questioned it, that's all. Like I questioned what the appeal of incest was on the second page (Which by the way, thanks for all who answered. I guess it's the whole "forbidden fruit" kind of appeal. Plus having a moe little girl calling you "onii-chan" is pretty cute.).

But stating your opinion which is of course subjective isn't really criticising, is it? I mean, there are also people who love BL but are disgusted with GL and vice versa

Doesn't change the fact that it's utterly ridiculous, stupid, and unnecessary, and it makes many people feel bad about their preference.
