Truly one of the best. He might be best known for his Yamato role, where his character was rather like the Japanese Mr. Spock.

His work on Dragonball was especially notable to me because he literally played both God and the Devil with Kami and Piccolo Daimao and played both roles perfectly.

He will be missed.

I've only watched him in Naruto as Tazuna but I don't remember his voice. Still, RIP.

Aono was one of the greatest legendary seiyuu, with so many memorable roles, such as Murai from Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Katsuhito and Nobuyuki Masaki of the Tenchi Muyo series, Gwen Khan of Outlaw Star, and so many others. May he rest in peace and he shall be missed.

Rest In Peace. Can't believe no more Mihawk ( One Piece) Hiraga, Gengai ( Gintama) and Osmond (Zero no Tsukaima)
