According to their official press release, FUNimation has licensed the TV anime Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai.

FUNimation plans to release the 12 episode series as "Haganai" on DVD and Blu-ray. FUNimation and Niconico announced last October that Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai was one of the titles they jointly licensed.

I doubt I'll be buying the DVDs and/or Blu-ray. Sorry.

Nope, sorry. Afraid I hate enough Yozora to last a life time. I'd love a version without her, but that'd be impossible.

I wish FUNimation would license more shounen anime. I'd prefer to own the new Hunter x Hunter, Toriko, Beelzebub, etc. Or what about hilarious shows like Hyakko or Minami-Ke? Those shows are definitely more worthy of owning than this. :/

Toriko is streaming on their site, so I guess there's a possibility that it will eventually be released on DVD. I'd like to buy Toriko, as well.

As for Haganai, I was expecting another OreImo and instead I got a funny and overall decent show. Nice pick, FUNI.

one of the things that bugs me most about american licensing companies is their strange and annoying need to rename such a high percentage of anime.

It's a marketing strategy. Take B Gata H Kei for example, "Yamada's first time" would sound way more attractive for newcomers to get interested in it than some Japanese title that most Funimation customers aren't used to. (Since a lot of them watch dubs over subs)

well done

Well that is also another name for this anime remember there are two this time. We without wings is the English translation of the name and others. I do agree others have just completely added to the name but its a coin toss where its a great idea or a bawling one. You get what I am saying?

definitely a buy. i really hope Todd Haberkorn wont play Kodaka. he fits other roles such as Death the Kid but please not Kodaka.

They probably could but their are others. Like the English voice of Train Hartnet, Justin cook, Chris Patton or even Eric who plays trunks or the guy who voices Gray on Fairy Tail. So we have to wait and see. Todd is definitly one of their choices but not their first. Remember they have to still audition for the roll.

Yeah Funimation got this their combo pack have been much cheaper lately to go to 35 dollars. Or this could be on itunes. Either way I am buying it

Problem with those types of shows is that they are high risk. Once you are locked into them, you either need to finish the entire run or you anger your customers if you cancel them early due to bad sales. 1 or 2 cour series are the safest bets.

And in my opinion, having a top tier show like this is far more worth owning than any of those long running shonen. This is essentially the Ore no Imouto of 2011, and a must have for any otaku.

I'll be watching it. =D

Thousands bucks says Todd Haberkorn is gonna be Kodaka xD.

(...and maybe, Monica Rial as the little nun girl)

As much as I like Todd Haberkorn, he's simply not suited to be Kodaka. Justin Cook, Josh Grelle, Jason Liebrecht, or Blake Shepard would all be more appropriate choices.

Monica Rial as Maria...would actually work decently enough, come to think of it. Alternately, she could be Kobato.
