According to their official press release, Viz Media has announced its U.S. product licensing rights for Hatsune Miku, the popular Vocaloid virtual pop singer that has become a massive pop culture phenomenon in Japan.

Recently, Hatsune Miku appeared on the U.S. market in a 2011 Toyota Corolla commercial. Supercell's song “The World Is Mine", which features Hatsune Miku as the vocalist, reached #4 on the iTunes World Music charts. This summer, Hatsune Miku will also perform at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles during Anime Expo.

VIZ Media will showcase Hatsune Miku among its other properties available for product license at the 2011 Licensing International Expo, held in Las Vegas, June 14-16, 2011.

No no no, you guys should just be breathing a sigh of relief because "at least it wasn't Funimation".

Miku isn't ecchi and crappy enough for Funi to take it.

This is big for VIZ, and it's not even a bad thing people so stop complaining. Crypton were the ones to announce Miku will get an English voicebank too a long while back. Also instead of being ignorant, please look at her wikia page- http://vocaloid.wikia.com/wiki/Hatsune_Miku

You only have one post....so I shall explain how MAL works.
