They should just start the translation instead of licensing them -_-
Yeh as it is kinda a breach of the copyright laws and Funi can be sued for that.

Lets hope that this isn't gonna be butchered. I always hate to see good animes get ruined by horrible dubbing + voice actors. I look forward to it with skepticism. =/

That's what subtitles are for *rolls eyes*

You have to have the licenses TO Translate to begin with.

Every time I log onto MAL Funimation has licensed another series. They are really building their catalogue up all at once.

Interesting.

Wouldn't have bought it in singles, but a full series box? That's a definite. I love that Funi is doing this.

What the hell's with the translation.

Fuckimation.

Funimation didn't exactly pull the translation out of nowhere. According to the official Japanese website (click on Union or Deague on the bottom left), Strain is an acronym for STRategic Armored INfantry.

Well THAT came out of nowhere. Dunno why they had to change the name though. . . What's wrong with just called it Soukou no Strain? Works for me. I'll have to keep an eye out for a decently priced boxset when all the discs come out. <3

I'm looking forward to it. Keep bringing on the licenses!

Hm... interesting license choices but they should focus more on the unlicensed big hitters instead of taking on a bunch of mediocre ones hoping they'll all sell and the profits totals will equal to that of a big hitter.

yeah i want to se some good ones to ;)

Yeah guess making a decent One Piece dub really pays off...XD

Now if FUNi started releasing things they've already been holding...

It's like a bomb went off, what started all this.

As an addendum, this series will also be following the same format as the previous announcements with it being released in a 13 episode DVD set.

I have the WiND subs for this one sitting on disc somewhere in my room. I know very little of the show so I'll check it out sometime in the future and see if it's really worth looking forward to next year.

It's been an interesting week so far. There's still another Funimation announcement with a clue posted on their website. That one should be revealed tomorrow. There's also Anime Central this weekend which could bring in more announcements from Funi and several other licensors.

its nice to see more licenses but none of the shows so far were really amazing.
