Did anybody else think of Sony Betamax first when they read the title? I was confused for a second...

It didn't work for me (Poland) and dtshyk (Japan), hence the mistake. I edited the news.

Pretty simple. FUNinmation supports the McCain camp with the slogan "pro-American" meaning that they rank the US above the world. (>_<)

I kinda doubt Funi expected anyone to have such a huge resolution! I had no idea they even got that big.

They're fully aware of it. It's been a standard development res for a few years now, and HD is 1920x1080 (16:9 as opposed to 16:10) which isn't far off it.

But streams are free, low quality products, not meant to cater to the HD market. Which is why it sucks.

Hmm, how come I didn't know you were from Aus earlier?

The Beta Video Player is also working for me. Quality isn't bad (this is coming from a guy that used to watch a bit of anime from Crunchyroll), but it can be a lot better.

Because you're inattentive? =p

And try fullscreening it at 1920x1200. Looks incredibly shithouse. And who the hell watches in a window?

Should I be proud to be born in America or should I be displeased/angry/mad/etc. because FUNimation sucks?

I can use it, and I'm in the UK... :S

Not that I'm really into watching the damn dubs of Ouran ¬__¬

And again unFUNimation screws every non-american.

if they would step up their subs a little and release subs of older shows like mushishi, instead of only dubs that would be a little better. if they did it for airing anime, it would ease the strain on fansubbing a little. but America only sucks some serious cookies. Also I agree with the statement that funimation sucks, I watched about 10 seconds of the school rumble dub and just about vommited because it was so bad.

Well, this is definitely a positive step forward in bringing anime outside of Japan asap.

Dec 23, 2008 11:55 AM by VK11

I just tried it and it worked fine, i'm in UK... However I wouldn't watch them because i prefer subs, however the quality of some of their dubs, namely Sukuran, Mushishi and OHSHC are very good compared to older stuff.

Dec 23, 2008 11:03 AM by Scribbly

Well USA only seems a little questionable, works fine here in the UK.
But with the emphasis on dubs, some titles only dubbed and not subbed?! leads me to stay away.
Ignore the fact I've seen everything I'm interested on their site, and that downloading is still better than steaming. >.>
Quality does seem better than most steaming sites.
Guess it will keep some happy. Back to downloading randomness.
