Funimation Acquires Shikabane Hime Aka
Beginning October 24 Funimation will begin streaming high-quality full episodes of the series through their video sharing partners YouTube.com, Joost.com, Hulu.com, as well as their own video sharing service at funimation.com. There will also be a US$1.99 download option on funimation.com.
"Shikabane Hime (Corpse Princess) is a horror-action anime which tells the tale of a girl named Makina who is one of the living dead. If she is to ever find peace, she must hunt down and destroy her own kind. Aided by a secret society of monks, Makina's quest to rid the world of the undead begins. Makina is voiced by Japanese television star Nana Akiyama."

Streaming sucks.
Word.
Plus I don't like "professional" subs.
Fansubs are all I need.

It will be better with English dubs. The voice acting by the amateur idols sucks. I hate that kind of marketing.
For once I'm interested in the dubs since I was thoroughly dissapointed by the voice acting.

I hope someone still subs this series because I still enjoy it so far. As for funi giving "free" watches that would take to long to come out and would get uninterested int he series if you have to wait 6 months for them..
Except Funi is putting this on youtube, etc. on October 24. Did you even read the article?

WAH! Why is the anime industry dying?! I don't get it!
Wait, what's this? Shikabane Hime: Aka's been licensed? Well, fuck that! I'll watch the fansubs instead of supporting this release. Now...

Seriously, this is great news. The show isn't that great, but at least it proves that FUNimation is trying something new.

I'm happy to see Funimation picking titles up so quickly.
Hear, hear. Funimation is the best of all the evils.
Still wish they'd just import them, though. And add subtitles.
