Funimation Acquires Eight New Titles [Updated on Feb 20th]

Today Funimation acquired the license from Media Net for "Seto no Hanayome" or as Funimation has announced "My Bride is a mermaid". Funimation plans to release the series in two Dvd box sets, beginning later this year.

Nothing has been announced concerning the two episodes of "Seto no Hanayome OVA".

Tower of Druaga - the Aegis of Uruk
Tower of Druaga - the Sword of Uruk
Blassreiter
Dragonaut - The Resonance
Bamboo Blade

*note: They called Tower of Druaga a "25 episode" series. It may indicate they also acquired the special episode "Tower of Druaga - the Aegis of Uruk - Jil no Bouken".

Well odds are they'd just be half box sets for 40 dollars...the day someone releases an entire series only, no numerous volumes, and no half season sets is the day anime sales will once again rise to the top

Well, chances are that they'll be $59.98 each. However, pre-ordering at RightSuf will probably cost about $35 with a nice pre-order price plus a FUNi studio discount during a FUNi sale.

Well, not like "Seto no Hanayome" makes it more sellable. Besides, this is how it is anyway for most anime if it isn't the longer and more well-known series. People just either need to do their own research (why sites like IMDB, TV.com, ANN, etc. exist), or read the back of the box :P
