VIZ Media Cooperates With FUNimation

VIZ Media announced an affiliation with FUNimation. Five titles will be aired in US through FUNimation Channel. The titles licensed are as follows:

Busou Renkin
Honey and Clover
Hunter x Hunter
Monster
NANA

The presence of Japanese animation has been diminishing from the US TV programs. VIZ Media intends to recover the popularity of these titles with this cooperation.

I've watched the dub and it was pretty mediocre most of the time. So then I watched the Japanese track on the rest of the DVDs. xP

Sadly, the only way for me to get the Funimation channel would be for me to spam local cable company with requests to add the channel.

Oh well, I'll definitely buy the DVDs once I have the money but right now I'm saving up for other series so this will probably have to wait until I start working again this summer.

Wouldn't it make more sense to go with The Anime Network, it has a bigger subscription rate, going with Funimation's channel doesn't put you in many houses(Funi must have bought exclusivity)

HxH and Monster are two shows I've wanted released here for a long time. To see them air on tv, even if it's just the Funi channel is pretty neat. Sucky I don't get it. =(
I'm loving the HxH dub so far (seeing as the first 30 eps are out in 2 boxsets). Hisoka ftw.
