According to Tech Gian magazine, Minato Soft's adult PC game Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! was announced to get a TV anime adaptation.

6 hours in playing the VN, and it seems to be based more on friendship than on a "adult" game. With that in mind, the characters all seem likable, and there hasn't been one ecchi scene yet. People shouldn't judge based on tags, hopefully this doesn't end up as a brainless harem.

It seems that they'll just animate the prologue, which is based a lot more on friendship then on romance. Don't see how they could animate the rest while remaining true to the VN,

Saw all the HCG there is. Oh shit there is a loli in the cast. There is only like one girl with decent size the rest are like all big. The fights better be as good as Ikkitousen I hope or Samurai Girls.

Just another harem? Pff, those who didn't play VN don't know the awesomeness of it's atmoshpere filled with superb characters. If they stay true at least 50% to the game, anime will be awesome. Momoyo FTW!

Start reading VN couple of days ago. Looks really good for me. It's funny and has a really interesting characters(Miyako is my favourite). hope they won't make it 12-13 eps. long. Also hope they make anime based on Normal Momoyo end and not True end (cause True end has almost no romance in it)

And by the way. It's not from the same company as Tsuyokiss. Minato soft just was founded by some former staff of Candy Soft. And as always:

1. Don't count VN by adaptation
2. I liked Tsuyokiss anime. End was quite lame and series itself was not perfect but quite enjoyable and a bit original(cause they made not harem-lead but main heroine protagonist)

Fate/Stay Night is also an adult visual novel. Just because its an eroge doesn't mean it'll just be an ecchi harem.

Well the Visual Novel is fantastic, so I'm obliged to check out the first episode and watch the rest after I (finally) finish the VN. And, shame on judging something as porn just because it has sex scenes.

Uh because the game wasn't filled with ecchi and fanservice despite having sex scenes? Just like Yosuga no Sora wasn't a fanserivce/ecchi game despite having sex scenes, same goes with Key games. Like another poster said those type of games are more plot/character base rather than a sex fest. Their called "Galge" games because of that, the ecchi/sex fest H-Games are called "Eroge" games.

Yes they could add fanservice/ecchi in the anime but doing so would be going away from what the game wasn't about, so I doubt they'll do that considering it will displease the fans if the turn it into a Hyakka Ryouran SAMURAI GIRLS or Sora no Otoshimono type ecchi series.

Anyways sorry I came off strong. Found it irritating that people were assuming that the game was an Ecchi/fanservice type game when it's actually far from it. People making a bunch of misconceptions of what type of a game Maji de Watashi is.

If it's only 13 episode, I'm a bit pessimistic.

And the director is not that promising. But I WILL try some episodes first, of course.

I hope it won't turn out to be like YnS, or it will be a potential waste.

I wasn't judging the visual novel, I was referring ONLY to character design so OF COURSE I can judge that simply by looking at the HCGs, DUH! Or do you look at the backgrounds to judge the character design ? Or at the settings menu perhaps ?

Also, don't try to educate me about visual novels, as I have played most of those that have an English version, official or fan-translated.

The thing is when people see "Adult PC game..." they instantly think about ecchi packed harem with some h-scenes, or a nukige with some actual story. Wich isn't the case here, h-scenes in Majikoi are just a bonus and i guess the story could totally go fine without them, can't say for sure since i haven't played it yet. But come one, it's a fukken 50+ hours game and it's got late and low sexual content, it can't be anymore than an extra for players. It could as well be like MuvLuv wich had only one sex scene by the end of the game per route.

Yes, they could add fanservice and looking at who the director is, I wouldn't be surprised if they did. But to say because the visual novel has porn it's an ecchi/fanservice fest is blatantly incorrect. Kanon had porn in it. Every single visual novel grim_angel listed has porn but they are plot driven.

As an added note, the character design is between mediocre and bad IMO, nothing that I haven't seen before. I've also checked out the game's HCG pack, nothing special there either.

This is not going to turn out like Hyakka Ryouran SAMURAI GIRLS or Sora no Otoshimono.

How would you know that for sure ? They haven't even released a trailer yet afaik. However, I wouldn't be at all surprised if they announced some DVD/BD only "specials" even before the first episode airs.

I will, as there is always the (small) chance that it might actually be good.

you may end up liking this series if you liked Kimi ga Aruj since it was by the same creators.

I believe Tsuyokiss was also by the same creators but the anime of that was pretty crappy. Kimiaru was good though.
As an added note, the character design is between mediocre and bad IMO, nothing that I haven't seen before. I've also checked out the game's HCG pack, nothing special there either.
I guess only time will tell if it turns out good or bad, but my expectations for this are pretty low.
