Worst place to discuss anime?
| Definitely Tiktok, not to mention the dog shit that is the limited number of characters, people there are just another dimension of stupidity, after reading many comments and "discussions" about anime on this platform, I appreciate a site like MAL, it's really nice to discuss here. Tiktok may be too obvious and outclass the competition but..we'll see |

It's Twitter-lite with crazy people for mods. They spied in on my private conversation and suspended me for calling Code Geass a synonym for stupid. I told them to unban me because I'm a sensitive, young autistic man, but they banned me again for arguing with the mod. |

| Looks like someone has a persecution complex. ---- Anyways, from worst to least worst; TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, 4Chan, Reddit, MyAnimeList, YouTube. First two are terrible from principle alone. Facebook and Tumblr are dead AF, though Tumblr's userbase was more bareable if a bit too cringe, Tumblr is also where the toxic and reactionary side of Twitter came from. 4Chan is full of shitposters and horny people but there's fair share of descent takes. Reddit has a lot of genuine analysis but too much of It's userbase refuses to step outside their comfort zone and sticks purely to mainstream Shounen and seasonals. MyAnimeList and YouTube are great if you completely ignore the ragebait slop from reactionary conservative grifters and stick to the essays and in-depth reviews, there's also a lot more idiots and elitists in MAL, so YouTube is the best. I recommend Hazel and Kenny Lauderdale, Super Eyepatch Wolf and Mother's Basement are OK, the former being too pretencious, the latter overhyping seasonal slop too much, Gaijin Goombah is more about Japanese Culture in general if that interests you. This post just devolved into YouTuber recommendations but content like that is why it's basically the only good platform to discuss Anime. |
