We have specialists of their craft, from all walks of life present. Sit down, relax and enjoy the show! The sign is in tatters, but behind it is a message in graffiti. Welcome to the MAL Tag Spooktacular, under new management. The broken down attractions and the blood on the walls made the once-adored show seem much more horrific than only a few months before. Sometimes, people would enter on a dare or out of sheer curiosity at the rumours surrounding the venue. None came back the same, and some did not come back at all. With a flashlight in hand, a group of people walked through the abandoned circus. There are many places to check, but so little time. Near the entrance in the security office, multiple keys were on each hook. Labelled with names and listing their accessible areas, the group began to take a look at the keys themselves. The keys looked shining new, outside of them being covered in blood. Each key would open up six areas to explore, where a person would search five. The choice to decide where to explore is up to you... but can you return alive from the Haunted MAL Tag Spooktacular? Welcome to the Haunted MAL Tag Spooktacular! There were many troupes present at the MAL Tag Extravaganza: genres, demographics and themes. A group of these will be accessible using your Key. You will watch a number of anime to complete the time limited challenge, these anime must be in 5 of the 6 areas the Key allows access to. If you want a harder challenge, you can complete Conquered to stay for The Show and watch up to an additional 5 anime. These anime will be from a separate list of tags. Participants will be trapped in The Show. Participants will be divided into two teams and the survivors will receive an additional reward. Step up, one and all, for the MAL Tag Spooktacular! Nobody is welcome!  How To Participate
Main Exploration Requirements Difficulties
- You must state that you participated in the The Show in your turn-in. Tag Categories The tag listings are provided in the second post below. Any anime type (TV, OVA, ONA, Special, Movie, Music) can be watched for each tag used, but they must be 15+ minutes total. Also, there must be at least a number of 10+ episode series based on your difficulty. Each 10+ episode series must also be 15+ minutes total (NOT 15+ minutes per episode). Each Key contains a group of tags. These groups contain 6 different tags. You choose one tag to discard and watch anime from the other five. To find out how to choose your Key check How to receive your Key for more information. An anime can have more than one tag, it just requires the tag used for each section. Use the provided sign-up form to show you wish to participate by posting on this thread. You must sign-up before September 30, 8:59pm (UTC+1) as this is when assignment will happen. How to Receive Your Key Your sign-up asks for two key names. Your first pick and second pick. Each group contains six MAL tags. A MAL tag is a genre, demographic or theme tag. This includes Ecchi (explicit genre), but not Erotica or Hentai. Your Key will be for one of these groups of tags.

Disclaimer If you have a high completion total that may prevent certain tags being viable, please make me, ScarletCelestial, aware before the end of the sign-up period. This can be done using the comments section of the sign-up form. If you are assigned a Key which you cannot complete you will not receive a new one and will have to forfeit. As such, it is heavily recommended to check your options before you state them. I can be contacted through discord or MAL. The Show Before turning-in, no matter your difficulty, you may watch up to an additional 5 anime. These 5 anime will be from The Show Tags, where each provided option can only be used once as the chosen tag. The Show can be included using The Show code, which should be added to your Main Exploration post, within the spoiler. At the end of the sign-up period the participants will be split into two teams. Team allocation will occur directly after the Key selection process. The team which has seen the most The Show anime will receive an additional 0.50 points.
