| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ok, So... It's a special episode of ONE PIECE. but there is no such Treasure as One piece, but instead, becoming a real man of the sea which is called Main Piece. (Nami) Ann is just like... Well you cannot not see nami there... Anyway, the opponent pirate this episode was pretty strong, but way too crowd lol There is NO SHANKS, and GARP IS A PIRATE HAHAHA I would say it's a really nice story to watch(: |
Did you ever ask what if Garp was a pirate? Are you satisfied now? Honestly, I expected this to be a special apart from the TV show. There were some jokes, but otherwise, it is very insignificant. |

| I was expecting it to be a separate episode from the anime, but I don't mind it. The animation was amazing and it finally brought life to the prototype of One Piece, a fantastic way to celebrate a proper anniversary. Sure, the plot is basically villain of the week sorta like the first arcs in the East Blue saga back but is fascinating to see how the author was envisioning some elements that would later be part of Nobel worthy manga. I'm so glad that this celebratory episode turned out this way, thanks Toei! |

| How can you get shot and have a huge bullet hole at the back but not at the front, even that bullet hole is gone later on! Mediocre at its best. More importantly they just changed Nami's colors on that girl, the fuck. Garp as a pirate actually fitted him, and I hear Shanks is an admiral on that universe. The f is a peace main? |

| Happy 20th anniversary to one piece anime. Lol we got blue nami and a weird bird in the special. Thou this was a pretty nice short story. Luffy will be Luffy no matter where and lmao pirate Garp. Anyway back to wano next week. |

| The art and animation were gorgeous! If only we had that quality for every episode. It's very interesting to see what could've been. Anne, a mix of Nami and Vivi and Pirate Garp with the Straw Hat. |

| I low key enjoyed this It's an interesting alternate universe ngl. The artstyle was pretty fresh too ^^ For once it didn't feel like everything is unnecessarily stretched Am I the only one that thinks the opponent's ability is way too strong? It's like some huge range psychokinesis or sth |

| Not gonna lie, I kinda wish he kept the "Morganeers vs Piece-mains" gimmick. There were some direction issues regarding the delivery of some lines and the fact that they reuse the same main voice actors for every small character, although I can forgive Anne since she is basically proto-Nami, but overall they did this justice. The animation especially looked very good, but I don't feel like this is 'special episode' worthy as much as I think the whole series should've looked like this. 4/5 but I'm setting it back to dropped because I got sick of the main episodes. |

| Garp as Shanks works surprisingly well, though his crew wasn't quite as fleshed out. That short stoy of Luffy though would fit quite nicely into the "real" One Piece as wel. |

| Hard to see this version of "Nami" with blue hair color. That's still very odd and strange to me. I find it cool that they used the same VA. It fits very well, though she doesn't have equal personality as Nami. Lovely animation. The animation was really great. I would love another ep. of this were these parallel world meets in a special ep. That would really be great to watch. Ofc, Oda is the one who writes the story for that special ep. Hard to imagine Garp saying anything like that: "It's good to be a pirate". LOL. If this version of Garp and the one in the main plot had met this dude would have gotten a real punch. Hahaha Cool ep. I am glad Oda stayed with the one who have been published for 20 years, more than 900 ch. + ep. Yeah, One Piece happy 20th anniversary! May you stay in our life before we die. LOL, hahaha |

| Didn't think they would anime the one shot (start of one piece), cause no other series ever animate their one shot/ original start. (most times not even ova) This was what made One Piece popular and the start of it all. Also, a note, the original didn't have the "Gum-Gum" call every time Luffy punch or kicks. It was a pure fighting, no delay. They only added in the call cause apparently little kids loved it. |

| It was a fun alternate take on One Piece, although how it turned out in the end was better so I'm glad this wasn't the path One Piece ultimately went down. I wish they had animated some of the side stuff from the manga like how Wapol got a new kingdom and the CP-9 in the aftermath of Ennies Lobby. It's not like they couldn't have used the extra weeks that would have given them. |
| That was a nice refeshing episode. Interesting to see the roots of the One Piece we know today. A lot of things changed to the original like Garp being a pirate and taking the Shanks role which was pretty cool. Even if Ann is another character I also only saw and heard Nami in her :D It's weird not hearing Luffy say anything when he attacks. You get so used to it. Poor Brook..ehm I mean Spiel got totally rekt. Reminded me how Alvida went flying. Animation was cool I definitely liked it. Happy 20th Anniversary :) |

| What an interesting origin. But I am glad it changed along the way, the goal of being a peace-main just seems lacklustre compared to his current dreams. That said I am not sure if I would have preferred the lack of the gummi gummi attack calls. |
