| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Damn, this episode was tough to watch. Not just beacuse Asta is being controlled like a freak but also that Vanessa can't take what she sees anymore. Got to see Vanessa's past too as a witch. Honestly, I think she was a pretty pure kid back then and seems rather timid compared to her current character. This episode turned out ot be more emotional than I had expected. |

| Great episode. We finally got the complete flashback for Vanessa and well, I think it's understandable why she's drinking a lot and always wears revealing clothes xD Her newly gained ability is pretty op, tho. |

| So she was literally trapped in a cage because she hadn't unlocked her ability yet. Pretty dumb and also psycho. Pretty sure there was something the Queen could have been doing to help her unlock her abilities while also keeping her trapped in idk, the entire castle, rather than a cage. It's funny but also kinda dumb how Yami shows up outta nowhere and bust through the wall as he's living the life of a protagonist to his own shounen anime. Her power is pretty op anyway. |
| I'm glad we finally had some Vanessa centered episode this arc, since the previous ones were all about Asta, Mars, Fana and Ladros, which is totally fine, but I finally wanted to see her taking the spotlight. And hell if she did, a red cat able to manipulate fate, holy fuck that's OP (probably the series will find a way to make that more stable later, but so far it seems a pretty hacked ability). Vanessa's past sucked hard, poor her. The Witch Queen is a complete bitch. And of course it has to be my man Yami the one who rescued Vanessa (I know she mentioned that in the battle against Vetto, but still). And he didn't give a fuck, as always. I love Yami. Yami x Vanessa, anyone? Also, thank God the red cat was a thing.  Next episode will be last episode of the arc, wonder what next one will be about. |

| Eh, was expecting her first encounter with Yami to be a bit longer than that, really liked the little montage we got right after that scene tho, showed a lot from her past woth the bulls with just a few still scenes (she was already taking her clothes off at a very young age too). |

But then again I chalk that up to the fact that they probably didn't expect the series to last. |

| This anime started as a 6, but it maintained my interest the entire time, and so I kept watching. I've bumped it up to a 7 as of this episode. It has a rough start, but at this point it has much promise. |
| Great. Back to sub-tier animation... it was an inevitability. Love the cat though, got another mascot -would've just been this derpy bird otherwise. In any case, Vanessa's new-found power is rather convenient... there should be some type of nerf associated with it like; uses a lot of magic, or its usage really taxes the user (fatigue, loss of lifespan or something etc.) Ultimately, it's gotten pretty interesting so, I can't wait for the next episode |

| Pretty cliché shounen stuff, but I loved Vanessa's cat it's so cute though. It also seems like she has gotten more powerful than the queen of witches. But I wish sometimes they would slash their nakamas, these shounen protagonists. Wishful thinking though! |

| Good episode! Was painfull to watch Asta being controled like that, and almost killing Noelle! Finally some flashback and backstory for Vanessa, her past was so sad a lonely, i am glad that Yami appeared and changed that! Vanessa's new power is pretty op, that red cat is really awesome, was like easy to beat Witch Queen! |
