3 gatsu has been consistent meaning it kept its fanbase that wanted the BDs. Doesnt matter at the end of the day since its on public channel and it will continue to get sequels.

Didnt take long for Kimi no na wa to get topped. Thought it would dominate longer.

Looks like Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu flopped even with an event ticket.

Would have figured Eromanga would be higher up the list. Guess even the Japanese are tired of it XD

Second season please. It's not enough to just have Roselia in the OVA.
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

Yay for Kuroshitsuji. Would be nice if they'd animate the school arc after this.

Also hope the movie will be subbed soon :)

That's far from a flop. It just didn't do ridiculously well like many were expecting it to. Selling over 10k is a big feat in these times.

Touken Ranbu & Granblue Fantasy really shit anime, can't watch 1 ep from them.

Kuroshitsuji Movie: Book of the Atlantic did well. Maybe we can get another season of the manga in the future (they adapted Book of Circus so well)

for a fujoshi kancolle with a big fanbase its a flop. It was estimated to sell more. 10k means nothing if ur fanbase is 10x bigger. Selling less than its comedic spin off is a flop in every sense.

Not really complaining here, glad that Touken Ranbu and Granblue, even Eromanga are selling nicely in a way. Then again, it could have been much more than that.

BangG Dream is getting some okay sales but not much to hold up, but hopefully a S2 might come around if there's one available.

Also I find it funny that the first 4-5 positions in the Top mostly consist of A-1 Pictures Lmao (Though Katsugeki being in between them).

Ye sure, we need filth like Eromanga to sell well so more garbage will be made, whoopeefuckingdoo...

Putting that aside, ingame items sure boosted GBF sales. You can tell how many whales swim in that pond.

Because Japan likes their Imoutos that's pretty much why. Though I'm not complaining much, since I do like the show myself.

And well for Granblue its already THAT popular in Japan, around maybe 1 million users or more are playing it (doesn't say much but its the estimate people are playing).

@moodie I don't see how does it matter whether it was first or not. Good sales will only assure landfill will get bigger.

@Wasshio They are claiming to have 16 million accounts so I guess something around 1m active players might be right. Anime still wouldn't sell that well without whale bait. I think it would hover around half of that at best. Look at Bahamut, people claim it to be good but sales weren't impressive as far as I know.

From what I remember, the previous season sold around 2-3k back in 2004. So while it is not outstanding, it's still amazing because it had an increase in disc sales despite of 13 years of gap between seasons.

I heard the ratings for it were spectacular for nhk standards too so this is just an added bonus. Hoping this helps it become essentially a full adaptation in the long run cause this series absolutly deserves it. Could very well be one of the all time great slice of life series.

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

I don't know about that. Considering how dismal BD/DVD sales are for late night anime, I think it did fine. Shows like Starmyu, Umaru-chan which did maybe 5k average get second seasons. Streaming has really picked up, even in Japan.

The original Kancolle did not get sales according to what people predicted either. Guess the rekijou and katana joshi preferred slice of life to action and adventure.

I'm also sad that it didn't do as much as it wanted to, but I can't call it a flop.
