Interested, if only to see how it will turn out and how they'll cast. Just idiotic SJWs crying about white cast will be enough enterntainment alone.

Also can we please stop with this retarded thing of "its gonna ruin the original show" "bastardization"?
The original show is still exactly as it was, and its not gonna go anywhere. Seriously, enough.

As by seeing that Cowboy Bebop (the alpha god of anime) is getting a live action redo or what ever, may piss everyone the fuck off.. and I see why. Even though it's being made by another studio, I would much rather an animation remaster, sequel or even a fucking prequel will get me spent. But a live action redo is interesting, and it might be good. I am kinda sad that its not an anime, so my favourite voice actor for spike (English) will not be coming back. But this may be refreshing for the series. It may be shit, and I will be sad as fuck. Buuut it might be good idk?

This is just like Street Fighter and the Ghost In The Shell live versions all over again. Skepticism is at an all time for me.

No it is not. I wanted to just say "No." but the character minimum is 15.

Considering Bebop's content, this should be able to translate into a live-action series fairly easily. However, I'm sure they'll find a way to fuck it up XD

this very much my expectations about this.

Yeah, right, sure. And then you gonna meet this guy/girl, and they're gonna "Oh I loooove Cowboy Bebop" and you're gonna "OMG, this must be a dream, s/he's hot, and speaks to me, AND s/he loves Cowboy Bebop!" and then the next thing s/he says is "Uwe Boll is just this genius as a director, oh and Zooey Deschanel did sooo well as Viciosa"*

There.
That's how the franchise is going to be exactly as it was.

Oc. the original show will still be the original show, but you can't talk about it no more in public, not without him/her as above bombing into the discussion.

* not that I would really mind if Vicious then was a woman. That would not necessarily be the point in the live-action adaptation being good or bad.

I can see this working as a TV series plus it might be what the Sci-fi genre needs right now because it's looking pretty dull at the moment well in the TV aspect

Imo. the older SciFi/space film/TV enthusiasts in the West are under severe withdrawal symptoms for so long now, many of them will welcome and hype any shit whatsoever.
If you knew how much lots of them nag everyone to go watch Firefly ...

It's going to feel a lot like Firefly, watch

So it's going to get canceled after one season and people will try to get it back on the air for over a decade?

This sounds like a terrible fucking idea. But hey, at least they aren't turning everyone Japanese just cause they only have Japanese actors, like the FMA Live action and Attack on Titan.

Still fucking stupid though. I know I won't watch it.

Live actions rarely go in the right way, most part because the low budget production makes everything looks silly and cheap, all I can do is wish luck for it.

This is going to dumbed down and put into a vapid hollywood/commercial formula like all western anime adaptions are, I can't wait to never watch this tv series.

Well, as long as it's similar to Firefly I can dig it.

A series sounds much better than a film, comparatively speaking.

Lul, you should be grateful that you might have the chance to meet a hot girl that might like Bebop in that case. Still, if thats whats at stake, then its not bad at all.

In the end, if its as good as we all want it to be, we'll have an amazing series out and more people will be introduced to it.
If its as bad as most think it will be, it will be a good excuse as any to go watch the og show to refresh the memory.

@Soul-Master

You're probably right. I've calmed down a bit, and yeah, any remake is also a chance for bringing new audience to the original work(s) - I've actually seen that happening in another franchise, where then some of those new audience taking an interest in the "original", they actually became fans or even lovers of the classic(s).

I don't know how to feel about this.I really love Cowboy Bebop but I don't know how to feel about a Live-Action series.
I hope they nail the coolness of the Anime and the characters.

I will not believe that everything is controlled by fate.

The staff honestly kills any chance of this being good but honestly I am excited for it. Even if it's utter shit I still want to see it, just one episode. I am also excited for the One Piece adaptation that has a budget higher than Game of Thrones. I wonder who would be casted as Luffy?

Apparently, Netflix has involvement in the live action and Keanu Reeves will probably not act as Spike Spiegel as originally planned from a decade ago. My enthusiasm is dropping with every breath I take.

how the weebs are already on theshitstorm train.. tbh Cowboy Bebop is fairly easy. They can only screw up with bad scripts and authors.

give it 2 good lead actors for Spike and Jet (they can be americans because the race of both were never mentioned and they look western in the anime) and a FireFly vibe with the Budget of Altered Carbon/Lost in Space..

It could be awesome.

Same goes for Psycho Pass.. could work easy as an americanize series.

As long as they do it right then it's not a bad thing. The Kenshin movies were great.

The Japanese language in the background of the opening was lame... Netflix, you can make it cooler, right?

I thought it was a new story, but it was the same story that aired in the anime...? I was hoping for something like the French live-action version of City Hunter, which was very good.

TO BE FAIR, i know everyone hates live action, i mean look at attack on titan, death note and assassination classroom. HOWEVER, Cowboy bebop was not a bad live action. i actually really enjoyed it. 9/10 would recommend
