| ^I don't know if I'd call Happosai human....LOL!!! Nice ep, the best part was when Akane first thought Ranma took the pill and fell in love with her. The face she made, and how she said..."No, tell me without the love potion."...was pure win!! Urahara Out!! |

| Huh? I don't understand your question enkil. So to you, people falling in love with male animals makes sense, but female animals falling in love with males doesn't? I don't even understand how one makes more sense than the other, and how is it a plot hole if we're assuming that the love potion is all-powerful? Regardless, it was funny and I love this show. |

| Probably my favorite episode so far, really hilarious and loved the beach setting. Oh and I actually didn't find Happosai annoying so that's nice. |

| This was a crazy good episode set on the beach. Usually, beach episodes are bland but this was an exception. The animation was crazy good as well! Happosai got what he deserved. The octopus probably got the one-day pill tho so it doesn't ruin continuity. I was hoping Ranma/Akane would actually swallow a pill and look at each other only for nothing to change, because they're already in love with each other. removed-user said: You only got that half-right.I don't even have to re-watch the episode to remember it, I've watched Ranma 1/2 wayyyyy too many times lol. If I recall this is the episode where Kasumi Tendo wins the Miss Beach contest or whatever it's called. This really put the pride of Shampoo, Ukyo, and Kodachi (I believe Kodachi was present) to shame, as they were all expecting to win. I vividly remember Ryoga had finally showed up, but was not in his human form for anymore than a minute before he was kicked into the sea... something to do with Ran-chan not wanting Akane to look at him encase she fell in love with him (thinking she took the permanent love pill) ... which ever goes to show that Ranma truly does have feelings for the one he constantly calls an uncute tomboy. If I recall there was a super nasty moment with Ranma falling in love with Cologne, but it's vague. |
| Very nice beach episode, lots of cute 90s anime babes in swimsuits including some of the main girls like Nabiki and Kasumi, as well as the two leading girls in this episode being Akane and Shampoo. But that’s not all this episode was tho, you also had the plot with the pills that make you love the first person you lay eyes on, kinda convenient girl on girl doesn’t work tho as that would have been too hot lol. And although we didn’t get to see anyone suffer the one day or lifetime pill (besides the octopus at the end) we did get a taste of what it would be like when Ranma took the instant pill and was in love with Cologne for a moment, and Cologne was ready to go along with it lol, thankfully it wore off quickly. And the danger Akane faced near the end of this episode was pretty big with her having swallowed the lifetime pill, I can only imagine the doujin possibilities and they probably exist lol, and I was also thinking that it would be a perfect time for Ryoga to show up, and he actually did but was immediately shut down by Ranma lol, there goes that idea. Thankfully tho Akane coughed up the pill when she fell in the water, this would be an interesting way for her to end up with Ranma but it wouldn’t be real, and I’m sure we’re heading down that path anyway so it is what it is. Happosai got what he deserved at the end there tho lol, always nice to see him get punished. |
