 A press conference for Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2202: Ai no Senshi-Tachi, which was streamed via Nico Live and Bandai Channel, has announced that the series will be a seven-part movie project. There will be a pre-screening event on February 6, 2017 for the first movie, and it will then premiere in Japanese theaters on February 25 for two weeks. The BD & DVD will be released on March 24. Daisuke Ono and Houko Kuwashima will reprise their roles as Susumu Kodai and Yuki Mori, respectively. | 26 episode season, like the original, would translate to 7 movies with runtimes of roughly 80 minutes each. So the entire thing could be released in span of year or two. At least thats what I think will happen. |

I see people making those and I freaking love them! Thanks for the laugh. But wasn't the last Yamato series also released in 7 OVAs? Movie here seems like just a fancier version of OVAs.
