 A stage event at AnimeJapan 2016 has revealed that the previously announced continuation of the Arslan Senki (The Heroic Legend of Arslan) TV anime will air in July 2016. The new series will be titled Arslan Senki: Fuujin Ranbu and air on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. on the MBS and TBS networks.The anime adapts the semi-historical manga drawn by Hiromu Arakawa, which is based on the light novels by Yoshiki Tanaka. Singer Eir Aoi will perform the opening theme song of the new series, while musical group Kalafina will perform the ending theme song. | I'm so pissed. Seriously, if you're going to announce a second season a year in advanced, maybe you shouldn't make it five episodes? I don't know. I'm pissed at Nanatsu no Taizai spin-off and everything. Why couldn't they air this in Fall and make it two-cour or at least one complete cour. I suppose with half a cour they could finish another book but I have the feeling this is going to end up with the same ending that Arslan Senki S1 had. Its going to be an open ending, with Arslan leading his army to confront Hermes I think. And if you're going to make it open again, you might as well adapt it all the way. It's gonna end where the OVA did, I bet. And I wanted to see more adapted. Though I understand because the manga is still new and they want to adapt it from the manga. Perhaps after this season they'll adapt another arc or two. |
