Rakudai is selling enough for Silver Link to profit, that's all they are concerned about in terms of their willingness to produce another season. Whether or not a Season 2 happens isn't up to them or the disc sales at this point, it is up to the LN publisher and whether or not they think they'll get another sales boost from a second season.

For once, Japan is pumping the money into a good franchise. Guess this means we will see a lot of of the Matsunos in the future, great!

Sad to see that OPM is selling rather poorly, though. Especially when a boring show like Overlord outclasses it in the sales.

Well props to Osomatsu-san. The comedy there doesn't really pull me in, but doesn't mean I'm not happy for those who enjoyed it.

Good for Overlord continuing to do well, Symphogear hanging out fine in the 8k range, and nice to see Rakudai stay above the sales cutoff this time XD.

Great that Osomatsu-san is #1. Too bad Gintama's not even in the top 20. At least the DVD sales are high. Gintama Vol. 10+ should have great sales since it's the start of the Shogun arc.

I watched 1st episode of Osomatsu-san to see what people like about it and it was pure garbage. Only attack on titan parody part was ok

I dropped 2nd episode after 6 min. The anime is horrible , comedy is 1/10. I would be completely surprised if anyone find this anime funny.

I rather watch something like prison school. Thats how comedy is supposed to be.

8.5k is not selling 'poorly' by any means. The manga also saw a large boost, so I'd say it's doing just fine.

Well this Fall sells much better than last Fall, the median sale is around 3k. Well summer is bad. Anyway 10k or more average show of 2015:

79,108 Osomatsu-san
36,004 Fate/stay night Unlimited Blade Works Part II
35,971 Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love Revolutions
30,131 THE IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls + G4U Bundle
26,927 Owarimonogatari
19,123 Kantai Collection -Kancolle-
17,254 Kekkai Sensen
16,413 Kuroko no Basuke 3rd Season
16,225 Haikyuu!! Second Season
15,845 Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka??
15,125 Senki Zesshou Symphogear GX
12,136 Overlord
11,497 Kidou Senshi Gundam Tekketsu no Orphans (may not pass 10k average)
11,217 Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. Zoku
11,177 One Punch Man (may not pass 10k average)
10,689 Starmyu (may not pass 10k average)
10,495 Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata
10,036 Jojo no Kimyou na Bouken Stardust Crusaders Egypt-hen

Winter has 5 shows, Spring has 4 shows, Summer only 2, Fall has at least 3 shows and can be up to 6. Looks good, but 11 of those 17 shows are sequels/ remake so I'm not sure what will look like in 2016 in term of sale. Winter 2016 looks like shit already, not sure anything can sell above 10k, or even 6k.

Why would they?

-the source material sells well
-the BDs sell well even with a decline in sales (mostly every sequel suffers from this look at owarimonogatari its going to sell 20K+ average while bakemonogatari sold 79k average)
-its backed up by a TV station

I really do hope also for a 2nd season but its always scary cuz its madhouse for example Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei sold pretty much the same as Overlord every volume sold 10k+ and yet there is still no 2nd season even tho there is more then enough material atm for a new season :( And both this animes gained huge boost at LN sales, so meh sometimes i just dont get this ppl an anime selling 10k+ huge boosts with the books and still no new season for anime agh >_<

Don't forget Koyomimonogatari which should be a 2-3 disc release, first disc out in May since the last disc of Owarimonogatari S1 is in April. Might be less than Owarimonogatari S1 but I expect it will at least be 10K, hopefully at least 20K. Not solicited yet as I think they want to keep people focused on Owarimonogatari discs for purchases right now. Also they don't want to reveal yet...

Remember that it is rare to get much of a second boost and anime sales usually drop 40-60% season over season. In rare cases they hold or even go up but big publishers with lots of other books to promote may well choose to make anime for another franchise rather than risk a season 2 which is 5K instead of 10K and which does little or nothing to boost the novel sales a second time.

And for the umpteenth time, Madhouse or Silver Link have nothing to do with it. Look at the production committee, especially the publisher in these cases. The animation studio will probably animate another season of any show if the committee decides to make one and asks them to animate it again. They get paid well pretty much regardless of how the discs sell.

He is being rude, but in reality is normal for a popular seasonal series to only go to its 4th season, unless is mega popular(in TV rating, Disks, Goods or anything else). Jojo's seems to be in the "normal" case, so is better for people only expect 4 seasons of the series, this means next season and 1 more after that.

Small seat at the table, very small. They don't decide if it gets season 2. If Madhouse doesn't want to animate it, they'll get someone else to do it.

They push all their shows of course, Prince of Stride, Dia no A, et al. Nothing really special about how they're pushing Overlord.
