| Saw the director's cut too. It was a nice backstory that was needed. Lots of things were explained regarding the past. Looks like Asuka gets to go crazy next episode. |

| So I guess if Rei is a clone and she was killed... There's multiple clones. No wonder things get so awkward between her and Shinji lol!!! People told me the dub was bad. But so far its actually ok... Well the scene at the start with the giant 2001 space odyssey monuments had terrible voice acting... To the point were it sounded like those scenes in Futurama when the take the piss out of old sci-fi stuff. |

| Explanations? Facts? Heck I didn't even get what was going on. They shoved all those information in my head in one single episode. I couldn't keep up. Sorry I'm a retard. Things that I understood, I think. 1. Rei is a clone made by Ikari Gendo. 2. Organizations within organizations. Lol seriously though I didn't get who's working for who anymore. They mentioned a lot of organizations that I couldn't keep up. 3. Ikari Gendo is a cheating bastard. 4. The creator of Magi, mother of the yellow-haired girl, probably got killed and put her brain inside Magi. I'm not sure though. 5. The organizations knew about the second impact before it happened. They were making a prototype of ADAM Evangelion, and went wrong thus the second impact. Seriously, WTF MAN I AM CONFUSED. |
| A much needed info episode, and most of the back stories really make you say "ah, so that's what happened." Rei really is a clone after all, and Gendo Ikari is a sociopathic asshole. Kaji...that was a really powerful ending scene. This show is really getting depressing now...hope the action picks up soon and there's a happy ending T.T |

| Quite a lot of information to absorb. I got pretty lost half way through it, too many organizations to keep track of and what people were doing. This episode should have been expanded over a couple episodes to fully clarify what the hell has been going on this entire time. I hope Kaji isn't dead...but it's more than likely the case. Can't wait for the next episode. |

| Seemed simple enough for me? O.o The predecassor organization of NERV accidentally caused second impact. They could the Geo front, and decided to use it for their own personal gain. Shinji's father is a bastard true and true. Rei is a clone. Akagi killed the clone. (Necks don't bend like that.) and then committed suicide by jumping from the top of the command center. Probably out of guilt. Kaji was killed. And Shinji spent the whole episode listening to music with his Penguin buddy. |

| So the old hag killed Rei. This with sure is connected with the fact that Rei said "I'm replaceable" few eps ago. Just as I thought, Kaji is going to die. This episode was 100% dramatic no matter what angle are you looking at it... |

| That was a lot of information packed in that episode. But, it was a well needed back bone story episode that explained quite a few things, and left me with just a few remaining question about Rei. Hopefully, the rest gets cleared up soon. Looking forward to the next! |

| I understood most of what has been said earlier, but I still can't tell if it's Mitsuko who killed Kaji. I guess I'm going to find out... Moonfrost said: 4. | Saw the directors cut, was quite a good episode lots of back story, but really sad back story actually, I do have a hunch that Rei actually is a clone or some sort of the mother of Shinji, Shinji father as well told us that if he had a girl she would be called Rei. The whole other story of creators and past of them is quite interesting and strengthens the whole anime IMO, but still quite sad especially the ending, I do wonder who actually shot Kaji and well I do think he died this time... Sad but powerful episode! |

| O_O This episode so good for info. Thought from Episode 21 A lot info was covered. Let's see Vice-Commander's name was revealed Fuyutsuki and he was researching with Gendo or Rokubugo whatever his name was. They told about Yui was also interesting in researching and they formed SEELE and Gehir 2 organisations. SEELE was responsible for "Second Impact" and that Kier Larenzo man. It's not meteor which did it. So Gendo was a beginning strange and not likable man. But he went crazy when Yui died. And started making Human Intsrumentarily Plan. And looks like SEELE was also researching and that Longinus lance. Fuyutsuki was living in Kioto that time. Is Ikari's plan to make "Third Impact" happen I strongly believe it is. So SEELE use these boards communicating with NERV interesting. NERV was formed from Gehir. And SEELE remained. Finally saw Ritsuko's mother Akagi. And recap we learn from older episodes like how she invent Magi. But how did she died. What happened to Yui? And why Rei is like scary little girl who words are evil and Akagi got his part of it. Don't actually still understand Yui and Rei's connections. They must have connection. If she was clone when did Ikari made her And that underground was were ADAM is stored and they were building EVA's so did SEELE built ADAM and had this Kier named guy part of it too. So they made copies of ADAM data and put it in EVA's or something like that. I wonder who eliminated Kaji. Was it Fuyutsuki or someone else from SEELE. Best parts: Whole NERV's past |

| I think I saw the normal version and not the directors cut online. Anywho ... it was really great, interesting to have some more back story to it. Awww, I hope Kaji didn't die :( I can't believe the old hag killed Rei! :( |
