| Ahaha! This is really random, segment by segment in 1 episode. LOL! A school life, really! Well, I think it's too bad to watch it in marathon. It kinda gets me bored. Gonna watch this from time to time. ^^ |

Makes me wonder whether the underlying Japanese has something similar. The overhead passing thing goes on a little too long, but nowhere near as bad as one particular bit in a future episode gets. For those who are still concerned, she doesn't become the main character, but she does become a main character, as there is no single main character. Although there are points where one or two get the focus for a while. Heh, I usually prefer to call her "Ayumu", at least to myself. I mean, given that it's something she gets used to rather than a name she actually likes... Hm, I'm trying to think of an episode that "takes too long" ... Does it have to do with Sakaki?? |

| So, here's our Osaka. Pretty hilarious and cute episode, with so many classic comedy scenes, say cockroach, dust particles, pigtails, chopsticks, traffic lights or the whole last act with the hiccups. Although I have to say the volleyball joke is severely overrated. My first of many 10s goes to this first brilliant approach at Ayumu's weirdness. Uh, I'm still surprised at how Yomi could do THAT :p... |

| I forgot how adorable Osaka was. I remembered her being hilarious, that's not something you forget. But she's so cute too, would waifu. then said: I hope Osaka doesn't become the main character though. |

| Chiyo is still so unbearably cute, guess she doesn't excel in everything. Hiccups for over two hours? Something's definitely wrong. And the cockroach part was the funniest. Alright episode, not as funny as the 1st. 3/5. |

| The way they just kept on having Chiyo and Osaka repeating their volleyball passes just got so funny hahaha. Oh my gosh, I'm so like Osaka when splitting chop sticks, hahaha. That hiccup arc lolol. I love Osaka's character in general, hahaha. The voice acting for her is so on-point. Also the comedic timing in this episode is great. Many laugh out loud moments. |

| Holy crap Azumanga Daioh is hilarious. I think what works here is its almost deadpan style of comedy, where situations happen and for the most part, the viewers are the ones that have to react. The characters provide some reactions and commentary, but leaving it primarily for the viewer works since the anime isn't telling the viewer how to feel. Also, everyone is a weirdo, but in almost understated ways. It feels like it'll take a few more episodes just to understand how comically messed up these characters are. |
