| Shenanigans and fanservice. I always liked the humor in Higurashi, so I don't mind. Takano was hot and the Soul Brothers were just plain epic! I don't think this episode is supposed to be connected with some sort of timeline, so there's no point in wondering about Takano or Hanyuu... |
It's official, Rika is a slut. lol Okonogi broke the 3rd wall.  For the FH of the episode I thought I was watching the wrong thing, so I had to confirm it by looking at the discussion haha. I feel pretty disappointed in such an episode, but at least it was entertaining. |

| Omg. It was sooo sooo stupid. Usually I don't mind fanservice (especially the pool ones) but it was just way too stupid. I'm glad that it is released in fullhd, art is much much better than in previous series. But this episode... 2/5 |

| Well...that was interesting. I'm personally not a huge fan of these types of episodes, but some parts were actually pretty funny. Like when Tomitake stopped a bullet with his chest lol.. I do hope that the next episode is a bit more serious though. |

| One of the worst episodes I've ever seen. Boring, cringy, pure unadulterated paedophilic cancer. Before it was tolerated because Higurashi brought some fresh air at the usual linear storytelling in anime and it was mildly borderline moe shit as usual that has seeped its way into every genre. But yeah, hilarious "I wanna rip off a little girl's swimwear so badly! I'll give you my swimwear as a present!" WTF. |

| If anything, I appreciated the fanservice of Miyo in a bikini. Arigatou gozaimasu Deen-sama. Everything else was pretty meh though. |

| Omg, never expected Higurashi had a fanservices episode before. The swimsuit parades were never got sway out, even to a legendary psychological-horror-supernatural vn like these one! Its not that i dislike it, its just caught off my guard very soon xd. Their eyesights against Keiichi's fur seal. Cloud. Yamainu. Miyo hot body. Omg. Hilarious segment, to be honestly xd.... Well, depend on what i am seeing at the episode synopsis, its looks like the real deal will happen at the second episodes. I am seriously curious about that; a dice killing chapters, especially with those new character with Rika. Without anymore words, lets see it, then! |

| Dude, why did I let people talk me out of watching this. Sure, the animation style is different but it's fine and much more importantly HOLY SHIT this was so funny from beginning to end. The comedy and pacing totally reminds me of your typical 80s/90s OVA based on a TV show like Urusei Yatsura or Ranma 1/2. The OP is an absolute banger, one of my favorite anime openings over the past thirty years and the ED is very good too. The change of pace, the fan service, the self-referential humor, it's all perfect fodder for an OVA. I can't recommend this enough for Higurashi fans with a sense of humor. |

| the animation was beautiful, but that's the only good thing i could say about this episode. that was fucking terrible. and it didn't have to be! the comedic scenes in the sound novels were so fun and heartwarming! this was just perverted, and not in a funny way. |

| As a reader of the source visual novel first (the main 8 chapters translated by MangaGamer), the parodic comedy version of Higurashi still surprises me with the concept of the Soul Brothers, most of the characters being openly perverted, and the villains being somewhat friendly on occasion. Decent Parody Episode. 4/10. Seeing the female cast in swimsuits, including the older females was nice, with the fairly cool bit of action. Hilarious that all the girls are attracted to Keiichi's dick, lol. |

| I started this up because I got most of the series on Blu-ray recently and it is the spooky season, but wow this first episode was pure fanservice and comedy lol, completely different from the main show, but it does make sense for this Season in particular from reading the synopsis. I really liked it myself, kinda like that beach episode from Another where it’s just nice seeing the characters that are usually in a horrific setting get to have fun. And the OP and ED were awesome as well, they remind me of the ones for Kai. |
