| Ouch, Ippo was raped by the world champ. Though that was to be expected. Puts into perspective just where Ippo ranks in his weight class. Good episode. |

| Ippo and Miyata both got bent over by their sparring partners. Makes you wonder just how powerful those guys are compared to the main characters, and if Ippo and company will ever be able to surpass them. And what's worse is that this is all being done in the featherweight class. Makes you wonder about the heavyweight. x_X The next battle between the two monsters should be pretty damn epic. |

| Makes you wonder what new techniques and training styles Ippo and Miyata are going to go through and learn as well as how much they are going to improve. Great episode that had good action and brings out questions about 2 of the main characters and creates suspense as to how Date will fair vs the World Champ. I give the episode 11 stars out of 10. 8) |

| Ippo got pawned. Man, Ricardo seems undefeatable. He took down Japan's champion with only left jabs. One more thing, he landed all those while Ippo's in Dempsey Roll. Now Date vs Ricardo is something to watch. |

| I didn't expect Ippo to get owned quite so thoroughly. I had hoped he'd be able to do the plucky "get up and go again" thing that he pulled against Date, but its better this way. |
| Finale they show the different between japan classe and world class the big gap. Also this is good for better improvement of there experience and skills. |

| SIX IPPOS GO IN! FIVE IPPOS COME OUT! ...it's actually not that dramatic. That spar was COMPLETELY embarrassing. It's not a gap, it's a chasm! There couldn't have been a bigger difference in skill between Ricardo & Ippo. But judging from Date's spar with Miyata (I know! I was surprised too) he's better than he's ever been. I'm looking forward to this match up. This should be explosive.  |

| Man, I was so anxious for Ippo in his sparring.. but I didn't expect him to lose really badly! God, not even one punch got through to Martinez! :-( And only with a left? Damn! Date is going to be in one hell of a fight! Liking the new hair style of Date.. has a kinda Wolverine style to it LOL The only irritating thing I'm feeling after these past 5 episodes is the mesmerized Ippo.. Its starting to creep me out how he's idolizing Date and Miyata.. We need some Kumi action!!! |

| Damn, Ippo got messed up only with left jabs, the difference between the Japanese champ and World Champ is really huge. Also, Miyata got owned too by Date, he's really improved since he defeated Ippo, I'm excited for Date vs Martinez now. |

| Damn, Martinez is a fucking monster. Ippo got schooled hard. I'm really looking forward to this Date fight. I'm hoping that since these guy's are both hardcore veteran's the fight will be animated to display more skillful tech's being used to differentiate from all the previous fights. |
| Not even a chance for Ippo in the scrimmage! I don't know how Date's gonna be able to have a chance either against Martinez, he was very troubled and could have lost against Ippo when they fought in the champ game. Not sure if improving in only a year is enough to fight a world champion who has won all 62 fights he's done. It will be interesting either way. |

| Holy crap. This wasn't even the actual fight but goddamn, in terms of buildup this was one of the best build ups to a fight episodes i've seen anywhere. The directing was astute as well, especially for the Ippo fight, we knew he had no chance, but how they at least show Ippo making a valiant attempt but still emphasize the difference in power between the two, and i thought they nailed it perfectly. The actual fight will be fire! |

| Ippo's imagination and Takamura mocking him was so funny. Ricardo is one hell of a guy, there isn't anyone quite as intimidating as him and the way he took care of Ippo(eh I mean warmed up his left) just wow xD Date is in pretty good shape as well, tho. |

| It shouldn't have been too much of a surprise that their asses got handed to them by those at the very summit but it was still shocking to see that both Miyata and Ippo aren't even a fraction as good as Date and Martinez even after everything they've gone through. This just makes me excited about the possibility of them reaching that point in their careers eventually! |

| Yeah, Ricardo is insane. Im going to be honest here, I dont belive that Date will even get a clean hit on him, hes just on that kind of level. Absolute beast, holy!!!!! |
